I have no clue how to post the stack trace, the program closes immediately afterwards. I can click ok, but the box is too small to see all of the text... or even the majority of it. I will see if i can find out anything more tonight when i work on it. Thank you for the quick response. When i tried it on XP, it did the same thing. Having problems finding boss_boykin.big file, yet it is in the folder i am packing. Could it be because i am not running it from steam, but i have the "windows live" version? Surely the files are the exact same. Make sure you have Java installed I once had this problem and Java fixed it, for me.

I don't like texmod (start trainer-start texmod-start dxwnd-start game) maybe i am not used to it but the direct method takes a lot-lot of time to do it anyway. I know ethos i always have a buckup from the original files. I must have messed up the header part, I guess. I didn't have crash problems with the wrong header only the skin was turn to left or right, maybe it was something else. Oh it's very possible it was something else lol! My game is modded to death...I have so many random small mods I never bothered to release crammed in my game folder...xD
I don't know what's wrong with it. I know I packed it all up correctly, hell the file size of the newly packed .TEX is the same as the original. So...go figure...

I tried using this method. I have them all the heads from the original file, the file size was the same as the original, I pack it all up, game crashes upon trying to boot up.
I must have messed up the header part, I guess. I prefer TexMod for this anyways, it's very simple to work with and easy to pass the mods around without having to mess with any "real" files.

It's the females "Thigh" bone which causes them to stand like that.

Well, basically, for those that like having a clique to play with it spawns survivors to team up with. So far I was able to get it to spawn on the upstairs food bar by the <3elry store in south plaza. The only issue is yes it does ruin the level by having to respawn the npcs everytime u join the map. I'm gonna try to find a workaround till then stay tuned. Btw sorry for the lack of Screenshots, I'm on a PS3 :\ I see It should be very possible to make a "Clone" of a stage, without messing with the default stage at all. Then we can simply put a new teleporter in the safe house to the new room =]

This is a model swap which makes the survivor "Europa" playable. Only works on default chuck clothing. If your all dressed up, head to the safe house, go to the save room, use the locker to put on all default clothes. This mod is also using Tab's custom female skeleton & animation file to ensure the best quality possible! Images: Download: www.4shared.com/file/EDtmT0rf/Play_as_Europa.htmlHow to Install: 1. Extract the archive you just downloaded with 7zip, or Winrar 2. Download these tools, so you can make a playable file: deadrising2mods.proboards.com/ind....splay&thread=213. On your PC, go to "C:\Program Files\CAPCOM\Dead Rising 2\data\models" You'll see a Npcs.BIG, Copy this file. 4. Go to where you downloaded & extracted the tools, paste Npcs.BIg into the folder. Click'n' Drag the file over "Gibbed.DeadRising2.Unpack.exe" Give the program time to extract it. 5. Once the extraction is done, place the 3 files you downloaded for the mod, which are "bigfile.xml, chest_default.big, and chest_default.TEX" into the extracted NPCS folder. 6. Now we need to re-pack the Npcs.BIG, so click'n'drag the NPCS folder onto "Gibbed.DeadRising2.Pack.exe" Give it time to repack, depending on the power of your PC, it can take anywhere from 1-3 minutes to repack fully. Once the black window dissapers, you know it's complete. 7. Place your new modded Npcs.BIG back where you originally found it. Which is : C:\Program Files\CAPCOM\Dead Rising 2\data\models 8. Take the data folder you downloaded, and put it here: C:\Program Files\CAPCOM\Dead Rising 2 This will replace 2 files, to make the the female replacement much better quality overall. Backups the original files first! Now enjoy the mod! Thanks for downloading! Sorry for the long Install process, there is nothing I can do about it to make it more simple. You'll get use to it

Hmm, I'm not overall sure what your trying to do here? Don't get me wrong, I think this is a fantastic idea, it's just there has got to be a better way of doing this then well, messing up a story mode stage with it Maybe you should give more details to what exactly your trying to achieve?

Hey, thanks for your work. i really like your mods One problem: when using a gun (tested with handgun) the left arm/hand looks like she's kinda physically disabled (especially when standing still), looks very weird havent tested it, but i think its the same for the stacey-model etc. anything you can do about that? I will be releasing V2.0 of this mod tonight (along with many others) to fix up these issues, thanks to Tab

In this thread, I'd like everyone who is willing to contribute, to post "What is What" For example, what .BIG is for what exactly (You can get as detailic as you want) Just post all of what you know / what you find, and I'll have it added to the main post, here I'll post an example Npcs.BIG : chest_default.big = Chucks default jacket chest_default.tex = Chucks default jacket's textures

I've gotten many complaints about issues with the female model swaps. Sadly, it isn't as easy to fix as I hoped. So far I've fixed Rebecca's Face so she no longer has a bullet hole, and all female's eyes now blink properly so they don't stretch. Sadly, this alone causes problems. Fixing the eye blniking, messes up the hands rather bad. I'm now going to explain in detail what's going on, exactly. If I use the guys Skeleton, it makes the girls stand more normal, less neck issues, fix's the eyes, but messes the hands up pretty bad. When the girl is standing still, it looks good enough to be passable. However when she moves, or if she uses any kind of weapon, this happens.. Yeah...pretty nasty Question is, how do you fix this?! Well, frankly I don't think we can... People will say "Just use the female survivors skeleton and that should fix it right?" No, not really. I've already tried full skeleton swaps, it's REALLY ugly....like take that hand screenshot above, but do it to the whole body! Basically that Spine bone is ultra important for a more perfect model swap. Sadly, the problems don't end here... I've looked ALL over the Audio folder trying to find Chuck's Grunts" so I could replace them with female ones, so our female model swaps don't sound like Trannys... Lastly, females don't sit over Chuck's animations very well, this alone causes ALOT of issues. Again, there isn't nearly enough female animations in the game to put over Chuck's to make it more perfect. Because most females are Thinner then chuck, you'll see issues like this alot : I'm really trying my best guys to put something together to make this all the better because I really enjoy playing as Stacey myself, but all the issues really bog it down.... At the moment, we're probably better off using the Guys spine, and just dealing with the messed up hands. Because it does make the overall model much nicer. This was a requested model swap. Figured I'd just put it in the mod release section for anyone else who may have wanted it This mod replaces Default chuck with the survivor Andy. Download: www.4shared.com/file/k4x8SRF1/Play_as_Andy.htmlHow to Install: 1. Which is : C:\Program Files\CAPCOM\Dead Rising 2\data\models Now enjoy the mod! Thanks for downloading! Sorry for the long Install process, there is nothing I can do about it to make it more simple. You'll get use to it

Wasn't sure what to call this mod release Anyways, this mod is very simple, yet I think it's really helpful to those who leave the safe house alot, and are sick of having to run to the blue doors every time. So, I edited a simple TXT file so now when you use the "Exit Vent" in the safe house, your teleported to here: This way the maintenance room is also pretty close. There is 2 ways you can Download / Install this mod. 1. Download the TXT file and Repack it into your Datafile.BIG The edited TXT can be downloaded here : www.4shared.com/document/BKrkykuG/royal_flush.html2. Edit the file yourself! (It's really easy) Extract Datafile.Big Find, and open Royal_Flush.txt in Notepad (or any other word document program) Search for "cSpawnPoint Exit_Safehouse" (*Minus the "") Below it you'll see a column of coding, replace it with this CameraHeading = "-10.116" Location = "-268.927001953125,-0.628842294216156,-103.572044372559" Location0 = "-268.927001953125,-0.628842294216156,-103.572044372559" Rotation0 = "0.124" Enjoy!

I figured the file formats from Console to PC would be way different, just goes to show how much of a direct port the game was. They seem to be so much alike, only the file structures are different, i found this in data\frontend\mainmenu\title.txt onUp="FOC:XboxLive" onDown="FOC:DebugEnter" onSelect="FWD:DebugJump" Its weird seeing XboxLive in a PS3 file. lol yeah. It's really cool people can mod the console versions as well. Especially when u can take PC mods to your consoles.

It's still being worked on. Problem is there is no reload animations, I think that is our main issue.
