Hm, good idea, however that doesn't really look like real leather Like the .. Leather "Details" are to big, looks like big white dirty spots instead. Still, good job on the effort

After several hours between the last 2 days of crashing, I finally figured it out! I gladly present to you, Dead rising 2 Stacey in her full-glory , over OTR's creepy Stacey! DOWNLOAD: Reuploaded 4/25/2012 www.mediafire.com/?6tcjxvkbbp33aq6Images: (NOTE: I also have a model swap of Chuck over Frank while taking these screenshots) HOW TO INSTALL: 1. Extract the archive you just downloaded with 7zip, or Winrar 2. Download these tools, so you can make a playable file: deadrising2mods.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=dr2otctools&action=display&thread=920&page=13. On your PC, go to "D:\Program Files\CAPCOM\Dead Rising 2 Off The Record\data\models" This is the default install location, if it's installed elsewhere, you should know where that is. You'll see a Npcs.BIG, Copy this file. (Remember to make a backup of it!) 4. Go to where you downloaded & extracted the tools, paste Npcs.BIG into the folder. Click'n' Drag the file over "Gibbed.DeadRising2.Unpack.exe" Give the program time to extract it. 5. Once the extraction is done, place all the files that you downloaded for the mod into the folder. Should be 4 files total. 6. Now we need to re-pack the Npcs.BIG, so click'n'drag the NPCS folder onto "Gibbed.DeadRising2.Pack.exe" Give it time to repack, depending on the power of your PC, it can take anywhere from 1-3 minutes to repack fully. Once the black window dissapers, you know it's complete. 7. Place your new modded Npcs.BIG back where you originally found it. Which is : C:\Program Files\CAPCOM\Dead Rising 2 Off The Record\data\models Now enjoy the mod! Thanks for downloading! Sorry for the long Install process, there is nothing I can do about it to make it more simple. You'll get use to it

You posted a question in the wrong section I moved it. About your question, sadly I can't help you much because I don't have experience with doing that, however Tommah should be able to help you, try sending him a Private Message, or wait for him to see/reply to this thread

The file got flagged by my virus scanner as a virus, so go download from the main DXWND site here : www.nynaeve.net/?p=52 My AVG scanner picked up no viruses on theirs. Weird...

Well I've been trying my best to convert Dr2 stacey to OTR but I've been getting really bizzare issues..which lead to game crashes after massive graphic glitches, I'll keep at it though.

Hi Guys. Your best bet is to take a look at: Go to My Documents on your PC, then go to My Games, then Dead Rising 2 Off The Record, and check out the Rendersettings.ini
Not sure if anything you want is in there, but you can take a look!

Cool i really wish they didnt change her face, she looks really creepy now I'm not the only person! haha, yeah I liked the old Stacey more..The new stacey looks okay from the front view, but from side views and certain angels she looks really odd in the face area and looks really fake texture wise. Kinda like a new face texture but her face model wasn't re-done to fit it better.. idk..I just know I don't like it as much

for the item spawning, in some cases this was the same in DR2, if the location was wierd, if the game didn't like the rotation, or if the entry itself wasn't entered correctly it would do the exact same thing. Try checking the entry and moving/rotating it a little bit. Also I hope with what we found in items we will be able to do model swaps from items.txt. I found a possible way looking at the file you gave me, so I will try it out when I get it. Yeah I hope we can too, I'm just releasing model swaps for now as it's the only way I personally know how to do it, for the moment.

UPDATE: So I figured out how to do model swaps directly in the Npcs.BIG Basically while DR2 OTR will crash if it trys to load a file that is missing, if the file is there but empty (0KB) it will load it and won't crash So in the Npcs.big, I made everything of Default Franks, expect his default chest, 0KB. Now I just put the model I want over chuck by renaming it to default_chest_frank.BIG I did this for Boss Chuck, and released it: deadrising2mods.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=dr2otcmodelreleases&action=display&thread=927&page=1

First Mod Release! Yay! So after some learning, I bring to you the very first model swap, Boss Chuck over DEFAULT Frank West! If your Frank is all geared up in other clothes, visit your locker back at the safe house to go back to default clothing. Currently he has Franks "Grunt" noises, I may go back and fix this up later. But its a males voice acting for a male character so all is good for now DOWNLOAD: www.mediafire.com/?oru8kxtcbjgqzklImages: (Click the links for images, WARNING: CONTAINS SPOLERS!) i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee17/Wizard2_01/Other%20Stuff/Public%20Photos/deadrising2otr2011-10-1011-01-09-74.jpgi230.photobucket.com/albums/ee17/Wizard2_01/Other%20Stuff/Public%20Photos/deadrising2otr2011-10-1011-01-07-90.jpgi230.photobucket.com/albums/ee17/Wizard2_01/Other%20Stuff/Public%20Photos/deadrising2otr2011-10-1011-01-05-53.jpgi230.photobucket.com/albums/ee17/Wizard2_01/Other%20Stuff/Public%20Photos/deadrising2otr2011-10-1011-00-59-60.jpgHOW TO INSTALL: BACKUP NPCS.BIG 1. So I've started modding OTR today, like I planned too. So far, I've noticed that Gibb's .BIG tool does seem to work, but OTR's engine is more picky then original DR2. You know how you use to be able to take out the NPCs.big, and dR2 would still boot up just have a bunch of "Missing Prop" boxs everywhere? Well in OTR, it just crashes the game when it trys to load a file, and it can't find it. I also tried to have an extracted folder with all the files in it, it ignored it, didn't load them. (Just like DR2) Also, when it comes to new item spawns, in the safe house I tried to spawn a Katana just for testing sake, and now it DOES matter where in the Safehouse.TXT that you put the sword. If you put it on the top like most did in Dr2, everything below that, doesn't spawn anymore So you have to put it on the bottom of the TXT I'm about to do further testing, for I haven't had a custom item spawn to actually appear yet..

Anyway for this to work on xbox version? I extract the files but it's all encoded and I try to repack it crashes. It's for the Off the Record, Xbox version Dead Rising 2 Off the Record www.megaupload.com/?d=DU2QH7SFA similar issue was encountered for the PC port of Case Zero and West. However an Xbox will not run a game without some form of encryption. Exactly

that sucks, be so fun to mod this game for jtag.. can I get copy of the databig for pc for off the record? want to try something Sure, here you go www.mediafire.com/?ruiis8hwjzizz7lDon't expect it to work on the 360 version =P PC version has a different compression of which the 360 version won't be able to read..atleast that's how it is for 99% of games.

For starters, anybody who's modded Dead Rising 2, your already set, the game is set up exactly like the original Dead Rising 2 when it comes to Archives. For new comers who are confused on how it all works, read below: So a guy made a program for the original DR2 PC that Extracts & Repacks the .BIG archives, this tool also works for Dr2: Off The Record! You can download the tool, along with a short blunt tutorial here: deadrising2mods.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=dr2otctools&action=display&thread=920&page=1FURTHER DETAILS ON THE TOOLS IN THE PACKAGE: Gibbed.DeadRising2.Unpack.exe = This tool will unpack any Off The Recording .BIG Archive (Along with .TEX archives) in the game. It will make a folder with the extract files from the archive. The folder name will be based on the archive you just extracted. Gibbed.DeadRising2.UnpackMany.exe = The same thing as above, but it has the ability to unpack more then one .BIG archive at a nice. It's a very nice & handy tool to have when your looking to extract several archives at the same time! Gibbed.DeadRising2.Pack.exe = This tool will take a folder that was made from the Unpack tool, and turn it back into a .BIG Archive, which is usable by Dr2 Off The Record, its really just that simple. Gibbed.DeadRising2.Test.exe = You can ignore this EXE, it's a left over EXE that is no longer used. It has no purpose.

So I got ahold of the Off the Record files today, and I was able to find out that Gibb's .BIG tool meant for Dead Rising 2 PC, also works with Off The Record! (PC) You can download the tool here: www.mediafire.com/?zzdlbgya4llnuvyThe tool is very easy to use. Simply take any .BIG archive, drag and drop it onto Gibbed.DeadRising2.Unpack.exe A folder will be made coordinated to the archive you just extracted, edit the files you want in that folder, then take the folder, drag and drop it onto Gibbed.DeadRising2.Pack.exe Once you do that, a black box will appear, this let's you know the tool is at work and is making a new .BIG Archive for the game to use, once the black box disappears, you know it's done packing. Take the file, and replace it with the original where you found it. Renaming may be necessary.

I just tried out V1.1, alot of fun KADOUKEN!'in a newspaper container into a pile of zombies = Deadly and satisfying My only 1 minor complaint is it kinda messes up the Queens D: When you throw the queen it instantly breaks right infront of you, which is fine if the zombies are close but if your trying to throw it into a pile of zombies at a distance (Like I normally do) can't really do that Oh well, I'll just improvise the Queen with a large plant xD
