NOTE: Due to complications, the mod is being renamed from Dead Rising 3: Dick's Cut to Dead Rising 3: For The Record.
Introducing the best way to play Dead Rising 3:
DEAD RISING 3: DICK'S CUT
What is Dick's Cut?
Dick's Cut is a giant mod that makes Dead Rising 3 not only a better game, but a better Dead Rising game. It's like a Modders Cut, per say.
How does it make it a better game? Here's how:
HARDER GAMEPLAY
The normal game is Nightmare Mode, except with the normal games timer. The cheapness of prior games is back, you'll DEFINITELY need food items.
Attack frequency higher, Nick has less invulnerability frames, bosses have more health and do more damage. Nick also is weaker when all his stats are maxed out. He is no longer godlike, just a great survivalist.
MORE FREEDOM
More places are explorable from the start. The rest of the city is blocked off during Chapter 0 still, but you can explore more places in each district. The plane crash can be accessed afterwards, and so can most of the psychopath areas, the lab after you escape, the shoe store in the Central City hotel, and locked off houses in Sunset Hills.
MORE WAYS TO SCREW AROUND
Doors are closable. Survivors are no longer unhurtable and hittable. Every survivor can be hit and can be killed, and so can the cast members. They even defect! But be careful; being recklessly cruel can have consequences...
Because of this, some Side Missions have different outcomes. There is 4 more posse members, 2 of them recruitable from these alternate outcomes.

BIG D
You can attack in more areas, too. Want to break the ingredients for the sledgesaw in the beginning? Go ahead! Want to randomly murder you friends? Weird, but sure! Want to kill the cast before you even get into the diner? You can do that, too!
MORE REPLAYABILITY
There is much more random chances in the game that make it more replayability. Missions are randomly delayed with their calls. Stranded Survivors can spawn in different places. As well, Side Missions are more fun! They're still fetch quests, but most have more fun objectives to get the items. For example, the first mission, "Signs Of Safety", you have to get through a crowd of zombies to grab a pack of spray paints. Stranded Psychos can also appear at different times. Speaking of...
MORE BOSSES
Stranded Psychos are a new brand of NPCs. They're similar to Maniacs from Dead Rising 4, as they have no intro or death cutscene. They're definitely more unique, though. There are 5 Stranded Psychos planned.
BOB: A boxer fighting anyone that comes into his ring.
TREVOR: A less-than-sane man torturing anyone he finds.
ALEC: A worker at the Flying Duck who barricaded himself behind the counter, throwing anything he has in the luggage he horded.
TRACEY: A woman in her SUV, patrolling the freeway and running down anyone she sees.
KEVIN, DEVON, KRIS AND JASON: A family of avid hunters, hunting anybody still alive.
The DLC Episodes also have new bosses, but their gimmicks are still in the works.
MORE WORLD BUILDING
Dick's Cut takes advantage of unused dialogue by giving Nick and other NPCs lines for various things. Survivors may comment on story and side mission events, Nick will comment on more things around him, such as Stranded Survivors and certain locations, and story characters have more things to say while with you. Also, if you fail the story before you get the ZDC Transceiver, Side Missions will NOT pop up.
GENERAL GAMEPLAY IMPROVEMENTS
You don't lose your inventory when you get to the diner! Weapons feel like they deal realistic damage! Posse members can hold more items, and have more opportunities to be stronger! New weapons AND combo weapons! The camera is no longer nauseating! The game no longer becomes boringly easy! More clothes! A few new places to explore! The DLC characters can put on some clothes too! And speaking of...!
UNTOLD STORIES OF LOS PERDIDOS CO-OP
The DLC episodes will have co-op! Unfortunately, they're a bit of a hassle to get fully working. Episode 1 works fine, but Episode 2 and 4 softlock when you have to clear out zombies, and Episode 3 probably doesn't work at the moment, either.
DICK BAKER NARRORATES
Dick isn't being forgotten, either. It's called Dick's Cut for a reason. He's giving you the tips, the tutorials, and much of the sub text. Dick gets a lot more than that, though.
STRONGHOLD MODE
Dick stars in his own mode that replaces Nightmare Mode: STRONGHOLD MODE.
In Stronghold Mode, Dick has to survive for 6 days while listening to a military radio he stole. The radio says that the Comm Tower in Sunset Hills is a prime spot for a Safe Zone, so that's where Dick and his friends Nick, Rhonda and Peter goes. He benefits from saving survivors, as they'll bring weapons and food to the place, which Dick desperately needs. In this mode, night zombies are not like the ones we know and love.
Dick NEEDS to get to the base by 7 PM. Zombies are absolutely ruthless in this mode. Dick needs to work with his fellow survivors in order to survive. It only gets worse on later days. The military is dropping supplies by an aircraft throughout the days to help the survivors. Depending on how well Dick does will dictate what reward is earned by the end. The top reward: The X Buster.
That is all. I hope you're all excited for Dick's Cut, and I hope when it released, you'll all prefer it over the default game!
RELEASE DATE: Hopefully this year ))
