Dead Rising 3 got a lot better and a lot more polished with

What the hell is Dead Rising 3: For The Record?
It's an overhaul mod for Dead Rising 3, similar to MMod for Half Life 1 and 2. More specifically, it's similar to Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, except it still features Nick Ramos and has no new areas. However, like Off The Record, it features multiple changes and improvements to the original game.
What are these improvements?
I'll be covering this in 3 sections: Features that are currently added, things that are yet to be added, and things that were promised in my 2021 post that I unfortunately cannot promise anymore.
NEW CHANGES
To start off small are some minor fixes to make the game feel more polished.
- The Bulletin Board now lists 24 survivors instead of 25
- Abnormal hit reactions are replaced (I.E. novelty masks knocking down zombies or even dismembering them)
- The Tactical Axe now shares the same blocking ability as the Riot Shield and Baton
- The ZDC speaker destruction sound has been lowered
- Some lines that overlap others have been edited to no longer overlap
- A broken trigger for Dick Baker to say a line in Chapter 0 has been fixed
- The last section of "Signs Of Safety" now has skippable dialogue
- Fixed some survivors having interaction prompts despite having nothing to say (mainly the survivors in the diner)
Now to some of the bigger changes:
- All weapons have proper heavy attacks instead of just kicks (Some weapons can be attached to zombies, such as the Massager)
- Regular weapons are nerfed to be less destructive and not dismember zombies
- Contrarily, many combo weapons are buffed
- Re-added unused breakable doors
- Re-added a few unused weapons (Cellphone, DSLR Camera, and the Door Pieces)
- Added cut pre-order content, such as the Frank and Chuck DLC and Nick's muscle car
- There are more doors in the environment
- Zombie grapples have been overhauled, and will now function as they did in previous games. On controller, you'll need to shake the left stick left and right. On keyboard, you need to spam the space bar (May be changed later to spamming X/left mouse button depending on user feedback)
- Some areas that are locked off until you complete a certain mission, such as the Mingxiang Gardens, Yo-Gah! Studio, Ingleton sewers, Meryl's House, etc. are now accessible at any time. Some may appear locked, but have an alternate entrance inside. Some story important areas are kept inaccessible. Loa's Cream Dream and the dining room in the Family House are also inaccessible until you complete their respective missions.
- Food and firearms are less common in the environment
- The DLC weapons now spawn in the main game
- Books have different spawn points; Look for areas that have magazines or that you think may have books (There are 2 spawns of Thrifty Traders because for some reason I can't figure out where the code for it to spawn in the safe zone is located???)
- Nick has slightly different reactions to clothing, specifically women's clothing
- Survivors are a bit more talkative, and will comment on the players clothing and escaping a horde
- Some missions activate at different points in the story (I.E. Love's A Drag activating during Chapter 5 instead of Chapter 7)
- Psychopaths are made more difficult (Feedback on their difficulty is appreciated)
- A few psychopaths have additional attacks that were originally unused
- Los Perdidos is much more colorful, and night time looks very different
- Diego has a different boss theme, an unused track meant for the crashed yacht
- Auto saves are turned off
- Alex now appears as a stranded survivor in the main game, as originally her mission was bugged to not activate
- Unused victim re-added to the plane crash section
- Dylan's mission is now slightly creepier
As of now, the Untold Stories Of Los Perdidos are largely unchanged.
CHANGES THAT WILL BE ADDED IN THE FUTURE
- 4 additional posse members
- A few new combo weapons
- Additional mini boss fights
- Flushable toilets (funny)
- Danceable strip poles (funnier)
- Survivors are now killable and can defect on Nick
- New ending to the game
- Some Side Missions are altered to be more fun
- Stranded Survivor missions are changed, some are changed to the aforementioned mini boss fights
- The upgrades are slightly nerfed so that Nick doesn't feel too overpowered.
- Nightmare Mode is replaced by Sandbox Mode
- New boss fights in the Untold Stories Of Los Perdidos, as well as altered story gameplay
CHANGES THAT WERE SCRAPPED SINCE 2021 + WHY THEY WERE SCRAPPED
- Closeable doors. Scrapped for a while since there were bugs with certain doors, and when I tried re-adding them again they just completely stopped working.
- Survivors killable in the diner. For some reason, I think it's hardcoded in the game so that zombies don't spawn in any of the districts before the player enters the diner, so if the player failed the story before that, the game would have barely any zombies.
- Dick Baker narrates. I just kind of didn't want to have this anymore.
- Stronghold Mode. I'd honestly prefer to do an entirely separate mod based around this, and plus I kind of prefer having a sandbox mode anyway.
Where can I download the mod?
