Modding Dead Rising 1 has been something I have wanted to do for over a decade. I initially attempted to learn to mod Dead Rising using the old ArcTool, but this created LONG, CUMBERSOME edits for very small reward, and actually HOSTING said mods for download lead to uploading ENTIRE STAGES of the game, which just wasn't feasible. But then... The Complete ArcTool and DREX came along.
Some of these mods are unreleased mods I created using the old method that have been ported to the new method, (Complete ArcTool, DREX.) and others are entirely new mods created in the last few days.
DeadRising EX is REQUIRED to utilized the mods featured in GAT'S WORKSHOP.
You should also grab a copy of Dead Rising PC - The Complete ArcTool (v1.2)

The Black Sneakers can be found in Jason Wayne's Sporting Goods in Entrance Plaza, OR in Run Like the Wind in Wonderland Plaza.

INSTALLATION:
Once you have DREX installed, head over to your game installation on Steam and open the Mods folder located in nativewin64. (Steam\SteamApps\common\Dead Rising\nativeWin64\Mods)
Now, simply take the .arc files from inside the .RAR and drop them into your Mods folder. (Steam\SteamApps\common\Dead Rising\nativeWin64\Mods)
Now go back to your Game Installation Folder and open DeadRisingLauncher.exe. (Steam\SteamApps\common\Dead Rising)
Go to Settings, check the boxes next to the .arcs you installed, and click OK.
And THAT'S IT! You should be GOOD TO GO! Click PLAY and the mods should be working! Remember - You must launch the game this way EVERY TIME to use the modloader!
