im a bit new to all this so do bare with me im having a bit of trouble with off the record in 2 ways.... i think i was setting up mods in prep for co op session with a friend of mine with the idea of classic frank and psycho chuck but i also wanted the chuck animations for myself since i prefer them to franks wide stride so ive installed 3 mods and ive followed the directions to the letter while they take time its not that hard i have the Frank "No Camera" animations by tommah the Dead Rising 1 Frank West by Freako and the Dolless Psycho Chuck by solidcal the problem that im having is twice now i have gone to uranus zone into the bar area where you jump out the window and snag some zombrex but twice now i have come to the top of the stairs only for the game to suddenly and without reason crash including 1 random crash while i was getting the 2 survivors in the first plaza i guess what im asking is is the crash a problem with the mods or the game itself...? and forgive me if im posting this in the wrong place i was not very sure where to ask this exactly links to each mod just in case Animation - deadrising2mods.proboards.com/thread/1045/frank-camera-animationsFrank - deadrising2mods.proboards.com/thread/1348/dead-rising-1-frank-westChuck - deadrising2mods.proboards.com/thread/1383/dolless-psycho-chuck |

As I have used my mod as well as the other two you showed and have never had a crash issue involved. If you did indeed install a mod before the 3 you mentioned I would suggest a un-modded set of the npcs.big and the datafile.big as well. Hopefully you backed up the original files before you modded them. |

thats the thing until i modded those 3 files it was all brand new just bought from steam and the files are never a problem steam offers a backup if the file is modifyed or deleted and replaces them quickly if you ask it to to be fair i had not run around much in vanilla before hand since i wanted to get things downloaded and working quickly lol so i was kinda wondering if anyone else was having a problem with uranus zone and crashes or if it was just me ill try going there in vanilla see if that crashes the game maybe which is the only thing i can think of at this point....

Ah you have the steam version. That version always seems to be weird despite it being the same GFWL version. If you are loading up steam to play it that may be what is crashing it possibly. I do know for a fact you can launch the exe of the game without loading up steam to play it. I have done it with both OTR and DR2. Try it that way and see if you get any crashes then. |

Maybe try to avoid Uranus then? Well that general area that crashes your game for you. I mean only go there if it is story related I guess. Or make sure nothing from the mods may interfere with Uranus maybe. |
