The bones appear to work now.... EXCEPT for the arms. I have no idea why they're spazzing out, I didn't even touch them.

I followed your instructions and oh lord what has happened now I assumed it would keep all the bones rigged.

I'm trying to do a simple thing that I think this tool would be capable of, such as welding the seam shut at the back of Frank's jacket, but exporting it nor injecting works. And by the seam I mean this split thing at the back: I guess it's a bone/bone weight problem or something? I'm a novice at 3DS max and its been well over a year since I last rigged a model for a game.

Yeah that method doesn't work.

_f means it's Frank's model and the one without it is Chuck's. Kindergarten stuff, really.

I'm doing just fine with my method. What outfit are you trying to change/make?

I haven't a clue what you're doing. Changing all two handed firearms to be held with one hand like dead rising 1:

It's working now, I forgot that I had edited another file in my unpacked datafile_big folder that was making it screw up.

I need to know how to get the sports fan faster walking speed in off the record without the outfit :/
When I try to add any lines to the items.txt when i try to load my game it tells me the file is corrupt. Even just altering a tiny value in a single line will tell me my save is corrupt.

Well obviously you're supposed to replace the whole ninja mask model. I have absolutely no idea how you're managing to mix them into one.

I just select the vertices I want to move and then move them, it can take a long time but it's really very simple.

Did somebody say they wanted Chuck with a camera? www.mediafire.com/?88pibjgri9atbefIt replaces the default glasses in the wardrobe, so you can't have a camera AND glasses. I believe someone will be able to permanently affix this to the player with coding. Works with all outfits too.

That I knew, I just didn't bother continuing it further. And never mind, without mariokart64 I really have nothing more I can do modding wise except release the newest version of Willamette Frank New shirt texture, popped collar, modified jacket and belt.

Should I have posted this in the work in progress section? aww well. Instead of making a new one for every little thing I do I figured I have a single dedicated topic to stuff I do here and there. And if someones interested in something I did I'll release it. Today i've been fiddling around with the vertex injector to get NPC's clothing items for Frank Slappy's head that replaces the sports fan helmet Looter's backpack that replaces the ninja mask At first though I tried getting the looter's whole hoody but there is an issue with hair. I didn't quite want to expand the hood over the top of it. Also, no camera. These are all just done with model editing and swapping, I'm an absolute novice when it comes to coding related things. update by anon1404: tutorial right HERE.

Ninja mask or Sportsfan facepaint are not items you buy in game, you can easily find them.

Too thin. Frank is a completely different build to Chuck, It just doesn't match.

Is it only character modding you're working on? Because I'd think weapons would be just as, if not more important thing to mod.

I didn't even know until just now that wearing all pieces of the sports fan outfit makes you walk faster, I'd love to know how I can have this faster walking speed permanently without wearing any of the outfit because the regular fastest walking speed is way too slow.
In fact any DLC ability without wearing any of them would also be nice if that were possible.

Coolio. Should probably make a huge mod pack with fixed weight clothing for Frank. What were Blue Castle thinking? Pshaw.
