SWEGTA Presents... IntroductionI don't see many new mods for Dead Rising 2: OTR, so why not release one of my own? This mod not only alters the running/walking animations that Frank uses to the ones that Chuck uses, but it also grants you the ability to sprint. Simply unequip whatever weapon you're carrying and run like you normally would. Frank will now sprint. - This is a unused beta feature that I found last night. Apparently Chuck was supposed to have his own as well. The sprinting itself will allow you to easily dash zombies as they try to grab you. It's also pretty nifty for escaping any hostile survivors (or psychopaths) who have got you cornered. --> Download <-- Swegta can you fix the link its dead I would, but I no longer have the mod.

I knew that Capcom's talk about "making him sound older" was BS. If anything they made him look, act and sound younger. All they did was make a new guy and call him Frank in order to draw in diehard old school fans.

NEW MOD: Claude Speed - Outfit (GTA III) This nifty skin replaces the boring "Grandpa Outfit" DLC clothes with Claude Speed's iconic leather jacket and green cargo pants. Keep in mind that this DOES NOT replace the mall uniform. So there's no worries about Otis' beautiful uniform being replaced.

It's all about trial and error, baby. Like Stipo said, some work... some don't. You just gotta find one that does.
Best of luck!

That's why I don't consider any game past Dead Rising 2 to be part of the storyline. I just consider any later game to be a parody/different game.

Ultimate Character Replacement Pack by SWEGTA
- DESCRIPTION - This mod replaces every single survivor's model with fresher, newer and more creative ones. The purpose of this is to make escort missions more fun and to encourage old school players to explore the game once more. It's currently a project in very early progress, so make sure to tune back every now and then for updates and more screenshots.
Roger Springfield Description: Willamette police officer who took refuge in the wall during the outbreak.Credits: Stipo - ARCTOOL and teaching me the ropes of model swapping and texture editing. Solidical - Helping me name and write the backstory for Roger Springfield. pockywitch - .tex exporter/importer

You had the ability to write any post you could imagine and this is the one it landed on, huh? Well, as for custom models they're not a reality just yet. The closest thing SOME of the people here can do is model switching.
I guess if you really desperately wanted a nude mod, then you could just retexture the wrestling briefs, but it would look pretty fucking weird. Your best bet is to stay tuned until custom models become something people can do.

Not sure if this is possible yet. Though I do agree with you.
One thing that I would love to see is more alert zombies. Having almost every single zombie on the map know where you is and slowly head in your direction would make things so much more suspenseful.

If you're editing textures, then you might feel kind of exhausted constantly having to restart the game and wait for it to load. You actually don't have to do this.
Just replace the .arc file you want, alt tab back into the game and reload the model (either via triggering a loading screen or if it's a costume: by donning another outfit and reverting back to the one you're retexturing). I didn't know this myself and I couldn't find any info on this, so I just thought I'd share this nugget of wisdom.
Happy modding!

Good points.
But as you said, the PC port didn't come out until very recently. So in order to have a blooming community appear, we'll need to give it a fair amount of time before that ever happens. As for advertising I feel like Stipo and I could at the very least try to lead some people over here. Most of my viewers are only interested in Bully, but it wouldn't hurt to try and recruit some new people.
I know a few people who are very interested in Dead Rising 1 modding, but have yet to make an account here.

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this in, so pardon me if I messed up.
People seem to be more drawn to Dead Rising 1 modding than any of the other Dead Rising games. My theory on this is that people generally just like Dead Rising 1 more. Sure, it has less features than the other games, but it still remains a strong fan favorite by many people. The only big obstacle in the way of a large modding community spawning is the difficult technical aspects of it. It's not very easy to get into (especially now that not everything has been discovered yet).
If modding were to somehow become easier to do, then of course a lot of people would join in. No doubt. Every blue moon you'll see someone post something in the Dead Rising 2 sections, but it's rarely anything in terms of mod releases or tutorials. It's almost always modding questions or mod requests. However, in the DR1 sections we've seen a few people (including yours truly) create threads with all of their mod releases listed.
There's a lot of potential here. The only problem is piecing together the 9000 piece puzzle that is Dead Rising modding.

2021-05-17Dead Rising modding has become much easier now, so I figured I'd get back into making reskins. I'm gonna look into reuploading all the old mods now that their links are dead. Fortunately I still have all the files. New mods: - Officer West (Outfit) Hey, folks! I've decided to take up Dead Rising modding, so why not release some of my work? This is a textbook example of self-entitlement.
You didn't even pay for it, yet you have the temerity to bitch and complain about it not working? Just buy it on Steam, dude. It's not that expensive. Fun fact: You can actually refund the game if it still doesn't work.

Well, it didn't helped me,but I managed to fix sound issue by installing eight updates listed on this site: www.askvg.com/fix-windows-7-keeps-checking-for-updates-for-hours/ . You can also install Internet Explorer 11 (I'm not joking, some people said that it fixed their problem). P.S. I'm sorry if I made some mistakes - English isn't my native language Dude, your english is fine. Don't worry about it. I'm glad it all worked out for you. Happy zombie killing!

A lot of people (including yours truly) have been experiencing problems running Dead Rising on Windows 7. One of the most previlent problems is the lack of in-game audio. Here's a possible fix I found which solved the situation for me.
Feel free to share how you fixed the problem, or if this helped you in any way. Best of luck!

The first thing I'm doing right now is waiting for Capcom to patch their broken port. Apparently tons of people are having the same issue. So I guess I just gotta wait. *twiddles thumbs*
