zombie skeletons and npc/player skeletons have a different number of bones, causing rigging issues (exploding). Your best bet is to find a cutscene model (if it exists) rather than a gameplay model. Every model you see in a cutscene should have a model rigged to a player/npc skeleton.
DR2 examples: cine_soldier_x... would work as a model swap, but if you go into the zombie models to get the normal soldier model it wouldn't work.

I think it should be noted that this is not a new model but in fact an existing NPC model swap... although very close to a michonne NPC.

can you guys make a version with the weapons lockers because special weapons like the golden pistols can't get now I probably won't, at least not any time soon. It would be a hassle to put the lockers back together and I like the added difficulty.

normally if it crashing on startup it is because there is a missing file. Recheck the spelling of your files, especially the datafile.big (make sure extensions are visible or else datafile.big is actually named "datafile.big.big")

did you restart your game? Whenever the missions.txt file is edited you MUST restart the story or else it will crash. If that's not the problem, try redownloading and reinstalling.

Awesome mod but, Im using the "Infinite Mode" mod with infinite weapons durability and they both replace the gamemode.bin. I want to use them both together, can i somehow merge both of the files into one so I can use both the "infinite stamina mod" and the "infinite mode with infinite durability". I need help Link to "infinite mode mod": deadrising2mods.proboards.com/thread/1928/infinite-modesure can, you will have to do the editing yourself though. Unpack up gamesmodes.bin and find this entry... all you have to do is change the PlayerStamina to "-1" and you're done.

DR3 modding is quite similar to DR2, actually. Items are created quite similar. UNFORTUNATELY a lot of the effects and collisions are different, so it will takea little bit longer.
I am open to ideas however.

combining two different models into each other is impossible without a model editing script. So my hands are tied until one comes out. I have tried thinking of ways to do some sort of jetpack, so far nothing hopeful though.

Strange indeed. I'm at work at the moment so i can't with on it. Did you try restarting the chapter? The game tends to save the world state and I'm not sure if zombies are included in that. I always restart chapters when i test

updated a more stable version, had to remove some zombies to a more stable version. I'll keep working on it to raise the number to the highest possible number.

Its not working for me. I see no difference with any setting. What am i doing wrong? Im putting them in the correct folder. Ive tried renaming them. I so want this to work. Please help When extracting to the mission folder, is it overwriting the existing .bin file? It will not take effect unless it is named "fs_scriptmission.bin". Make sure you have your computer set to view file extensions (.txt, .bin, etc...) or else your file may be actually named "fs_scriptmission.bin.bin" if extensions are hidden. Keep in mind this will not make a huge improvement, just give you back a few fps.

sorry, I haven't played DR2 in a LONG time... they got rid of the dlc files? *edit* THIS should have everything you need. You just need the outfit files then make outfit entries to spawn the dispenser. Let me know if I'm not following you correctly though.

HEY ACTUALLY I GOT NO MISSION FOLDER.i'VE ALREADY TRIED CREATING ONE,BUT ZOMBIES WERE STILL THERE.I DUNNO WHAT TO DO.HELP ME. Like Solidcal said, if you didn't have a missions folder your game would crash at launch. Its there.
