As the title says.Is anyone able to get rid of the Katey doll that Boss Chuck has on his back?Because it would be nice to either play as him or see him in the cut scene without that doll on his back.

In the cutscene after he is beaten the doll is destroyed, so that model could be used instead.

Actually the doll mesh is hidden in the cutscene and instead the game uses a cinematic doll only prop that is attached to his back. Same with the death cutscene, hidden normal doll mesh and cinematic doll .

if Katey is a model by itself, you can replace the model with an empty text file with the same name as the model file

Hidden or gone or just not showing still would accomplish what the person requested, as long as it can't be seen then all would be good.

We can do it for cutscenes but we havent figured out getting rid of body parts yet in OTR.

We can't just simply edit textures to hide it and call it a day. We have to use the process like in DR2 and remove the geo_ files but the engine in OTR is so much more picky about it now.

I'm just kidding around. Here's a video: Hey Freako, Care to explain how you did this, I took a few minutes to try it and the game kept crashing when removing certain parts of the doll.

it's not based on the scenedescription stuff. what he did was use mariokart64n's tool and essentially remove the doll by exporting a single vertex(?) somewhere inside the player's body over the doll's geometry part. (parts?)

using the tool overall isn't too rough.. though i'm still having trouble with full body stuff being rigged strangely but that's just me having started with this you can actually mix and match by using old DR2 files and porting things into that persistent.big and then modifying the scenedescription. it all still works out, and much less of a pain then completely replacing a model or whatnot. the problem with that is that the importer doesn't read DR2 files (yet) so it's a one way process. some stuff i've more or less (still having trouble with textures..) got in game functioning with less than a week's experience:
