Would it be possible to make dodge roll to cancel attacks?

In Case West you can dodge roll to cancel attack animations, it made the combat smoother since you could just roll instead of waiting for chuck to complete his attack animation. It's also possible in OTR but you can't do it DR2. So i was wondering if there is a way to make a mod to dodge roll during attack animations.
