Hey! So I’m really new to Dead Rising 1 modding, but I’ve been a fan all the way back since the original 360 release. Don’t be fooled by that however, as I barely know how to pack and unpack arc files at this point lol. I’m constantly rewatching the STiPO tutorial videos in attempts to get my land legs with all of this modding business. Anyway, I’ve seen a couple cool HUD mods where players have changed out the icons and weapon reticles. My favorite so far is this slanted HUD mod by Vanquished which can be found here for reference: deadrising2mods.proboards.com/thread/3302/simple-slanted-hud-transparent-optionI know this seems like a odd mod request but what I want to do is create a hud that retains all of the normal UI functions EXCEPT for the weapon aim reticles and weapon throw reticles when the weapon is being aimed. I want to get rid of these reticles because they don’t serve much of a purpose to me, as anyone can aim without giant opaque reticles in the center of the screen. The main reason I want to either find or create this mod is to avoid any further distraction to the game’s gore system. I want to actually see the zombies get shot instead of trying to see through a giant white reticle that occludes all the action. (Especially with shotguns) Anyway, sorry for the long post. Any tips or advice in the right direction would help. I don’t even know what .arc file or parts of the arc files that contain the reticles textures, but if I could only find them, I’d just alpha channel them into transparency and re-save it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks all!!!
