Hi everybody, I know this sounds stupid and all but, It's 2017 right now, and I'd love to play Dead Rising 2 : Off The Record COOP with my friends, and I can't join any of their games, same for them they can't join me, so I was wondering if it would be possible to create an actual working coop mode for this game, maybe with virtual LAN using tunngle, evolve, hamachi and etc... do you guys think it would be possible ?
Doesn't sound stupid. OtR is a masterpiece. It will be worth playing until the heat death of the universe.
What could the problem be?
Do you have any mods? If you do, your friends have to have the same ones--all the same files. To get rid of them, you can right-click the game in your Steam library, choose Properties, select the Local Files tab, and click Verify Integrity Of Game Files to have Steam check your files against the original ones and have them restored to the defaults, and if both players have the default files up-to-date, there shouldn't be any issues with incompatibility.
If you didn't already know, it seems like the "Play online" thing on the main menu isn't how to do it--you hit Shift+Tab to open up Steam, choose a friend playing the game, right click and invite. Bit weird. You need some external means of voice chat too, Discord or Skype or whatever.
I'm sorry if you already knew about these things, I'm working with no background information and just bringing up the first potential issues that come to mind.

I'm not a modder or anything, but I thought that I had to share the idea about this mod, actual modders succeeded into creating Multiplayer mods for games like Just Cause 2 & Just Cause 3 etc, for some reason the actual coop mode in the game doesn't work properly for a lot of people, me included, I digged really deep on the internet to find fixes and etc, but nothing seems to work, that's why I thought about asking here.
