For the past hour already, I've been dealing with the message of "Dead Rising has stopped working".
This seems extremely frustrating for me since I already have a 64-bit computer and I can't even play the damn game here.
Personally, I'm fine when there is some glitch involved (like no audio or losing all of your save data) since there is always some type of workaround anyway (even though its not really the fan's job to fix it)
But, for me, I can't even RUN IT. LIKE AT ALL!
(Note: Yes, to be truthful, I am using a PIRATED COPY. But before one of you say to buy the actual game. consider this: Why would I even want to buy a game if I have already tested it (and looked at the internet for responses and fixes) and found out it doesn't even work?)
You know what, I'm done for today. (I was personally thinking of showing off some cheats (from Cheat Engine and whatnot.) But, now, screw it, I quit with this (version of the) game.
I'm going to try to mod the Wii version instead. (At least Chop Till You Drop works, and by "works", I mean it's actually playable.)

If you pirated it, then yes it won't work. The actual game works for everyone who bought it on steam. So just buy it honestly as the steam one has a patch for it that fixes issues, which I guess would fix your issues probably.

Um. Because pirated versions usually have problems like these and having a legal copy could actually work instead? Also dunno what's wrong with your copy that you pirated. I tried a torrented version and it ran flawlessly, so I threw the 20 bucks for it on Steam. Might as well throw the money at it. If it doesn't work get a refund.

This is a textbook example of self-entitlement.
You didn't even pay for it, yet you have the temerity to bitch and complain about it not working? Just buy it on Steam, dude. It's not that expensive. Fun fact: You can actually refund the game if it still doesn't work.
