First off I'm going to say this. Thank god for people like you all who take the time to make these fantastic mods for commoners like me to play around with. I don't know what I would do if you all weren't here tinkering and inventing new ways to play games that the developers overlook.
But let me get to the point before my praise starts to sound like butt-kissing.
I've been playing DR3 for a while now and I've still yet to beat it. Not because its difficult or anything, but because I don't want the carnage to end just yet. So I keep restarting. But I notice two (among a plethora of others) glaring omissions that the devs refused, I guess, to implement into the game.
The first thing is the ability to close doors. I know it would detract from the intensity of a hoard coming down on you, but it would help in those moments where you want to search for that blueprint, craft in peace, or forage for supplies and materials. I read in another forum where someone suggested that I take a bunch of items and toss them in front of the door to create a makeshift barricade. Well, its feasible, but frustrating as there is no placement system implemented in the game so tossing things just goes all willy nilly and trying to accurately throw something while zombies are pouring in at your location can add to the frustration. It would just make sense to be able to close doors behind yourself. Is it possible to mod this option in?
Secondly. Why wasn't ammo put into DR3? The fact that I just drop a gun after it runs out of ammo is dumb in my opinion. Yes there are plenty of guns lying around in this game, you may argue. And I will admit, its not really that big of a deal. But still why wasn't ammo implemented? Why can't I pick up a couple of rounds or a box of rounds and use the craft mechanic to load the gun? I would love to scavenge for different types of ammo for my guns instead of just picking up a FULLY LOADED LMG when I run down the road (sidenote: Why are there fully loaded firearms all over the place? Did no one bother to fire off a few rounds before dropping their gun?). So once again, does anyone think that at some point in the future, this would be possible?
Well, anyway, thanks for reading my post. I hope that if anything, this gets you guys thinking of some great ideas to throw in.
