Here's the first version of my DR3 bin tools: sktest.aruarose.com/DR3BinTool_v9.7z

I can, amongst other things, convert bin to text files and text files back to bin.

New in v8:

• It now supports looking up string IDs and their actual text: DisplayNameID = "'IDS_SVR_01_NAME'" //Lena
  

• Drag & drop support. When the first parameter isn't a known command, it checks the extension and converts to .bin when the extension is .txt and to .txt when the extension is .bin.

New in v9:

• The names for ComponentTypes and ExtensionType fields are now resolved.

• Pointer values now have comments indicating the object type.
  

This is an early version, so please report any bugs you may find.

Managed to figure it out by quickprintscreening what the .exe file said before it closed down.
Still, this is good.

Can't believe how fast it took to get this thing out, even though it's an early version.

Hi zmaj, I solved the same problem copying and pasting that specific ".ddl" into the bin tool folder. My problem was "msvcr120.dll".

Normally this ".dll" is located on "System32" folder. If not, you can download him.

Installed VC2013 and the .dll and still getting this message:

The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b). Click OK to close the application.
Your computer is either missing some files or is not compatiable with the tool. I had it happen on my laptop. But with this PC it works fine.

Run it from cmd to get around that.

Bin to Text = OK
Text to Bin = Prompt and Close without bin
CMD RUN = -<output file> -<input file>......
Anyone has a solution ?

did you change anything? Generally the Txt to Bin won't work if there's something wrong with the file, i.e. missing or extra ", missing or extra }... those are always the common ones.

Exactly my issue!

I can convert a .bin file to a .txt one but, the same .txt file WITHOUT any change can not be converted to a .bin file.
To be precise, the software runs, but there is no .bin file.
