Well they can work some what. I was wondering if it was possible for them to work. So after a bit of trial and error I got a DR2 only cutscene working in OTR. Only issue is the mouth doesn;t move and goes right through the head of the player. So the player looks like a creepy skeleton thing. Anyway the vid below will show you what it all looks like.
I am gonna take a look at the animation big and see if I can't edit it so it will work properly in OTR. Also theres no audio cause the audio isn't in OTR any more. But that doesn't mean I can't add it into OTR. Anyway post feed back and what not.
Edit: So it looks like I have hit a bumo here. The differences between DR2 and OTR is the cinematics animation. Now I think something in the animation for the scene is telling the OTR model to use the old DR2 skeleton. Since the skeleton isn;t there it sort of bugs up like you see in the vid. So unless we can edit the animation for the cutscene I doubt we'll have fully functional DR2 cutscenes in OTR besides the left over scenes already in OTR.

Kinda surprised that they even work at all.
What you now have to do, is put an OTR cutscene into DR2.

Kinda surprised that they even work at all. What you now have to do, is put an OTR cutscene into DR2. Yeah I think I found out the reason the mouth won't work right with this DR2 Cutscene in OTR. It's something to do with the cineplayer skeleton files. Both files in DR2 and OTR are very different from each other. So I think that is the reason the mouth in the cutscene doesn't work at all.

I got DR2 cutscenes audio to work in OTR, so if you get the video to work, Ill upload the sound. Did you try adding DR2 models to OTR and pointing the OTR cinematics to those models?

I already know how to get the sound working from the dr2 cutscenes in otr since that is easy stuff. Also as you know dr2 models will not work in OTR due to the skeleton change and adjustments. Putting DR2 models in OTR will make the game crash and vice versa. The thing I have narrowed this issue down to is the cineplayer.big. In it they change how the things works in OTR. So thus the dr2 cutscenes can't recognise the new file well which results in this mouth through the head issue. If we can adjust the cineplayer.big to be like the DR2 one. Then we may be able to get the cutscene fully workin in OTR with the added sound and frank replaced with Chuck.

Most of the scenes in OTR are quite the same as the original DR2, right? Like the Antoine scene, what happen if you replace the skeletons in that one?
