LEFT 4 DEAD RISING WIP Thread  In case you are new to the forum: Left 4 Dead Rising is a tribute/recreation mod of the popular game Left 4 Dead using the Dead Rising 2 Off the Record game. Included are: -new models from L4D and L4D2 including some special infected
-completely new mission structure with short stories and an extraction point
-new working items such as SMG, Pipebomb, and Painpills
-recruits from L4D and L4D2 that will follow you, help you, and swap items with you I uploaded the Installer to Skydrive so it will not expire unless I manually remove it, but in order to do that I had to split it into seperate RAR files. Just download, unpack, and run the installer. With the included installer you can install and remove L4DR whenever you want. BACKUP YOUR MODDED FILES. The uninstaller will revert the game to its default settings/files. Please read the instructions in the installer. I will not be responsible for any lost mods but if you ask nicely I will help you recreate them. L4DR Download Link (4 parts) - >1.1Gb: Direct installer to your Game Folder's "\data" folder. These are the main fail and you should only need this once (save the installer). All future releases will be smaller downloads Optional Audio Download (3 parts) - 1.0Gb: Includes new main menu music and credits music Unfortunately because of the file sizes/types you will probably need to sign into hotmail or create one. I'm not sure why but this is the only mod I've uploaded that may do this. Known Bugs:-Franks voice files and a few others still exist, may get to modding the audio more later or completely remove voices altogether.
-Models have many problems with them, I got them to workable states for release. Can work on them later.
-If you recruit more than 3 survivors you may glitch certain zones causing you to not be able to continue the game. ONLY up to 3 survivors can be recruited
-Random bug at end of game with credits, sometimes the credits get stuck on a continuous roll. Wait 2 minutes, if it doesn't spit you out to the main menu I'm sorry but you'll have to Alt+F4 out of the game.
-DO NOT TRY TO OPEN THE MAP. This WILL crash your game. Not entirely sure why but I think it is because I removed all the challenges from Sandbox so the map can't show them or something.
-Switching from Nick to Francis and vice versa will cause texture confusion due to them being swapped over the same model, you will have to go Nick to Bill to Francis for example. As long as you unload one of them before loading the other. There... Now I can get back to having a life |

How do you spawn random npcs in certain areas? Messing with the coding. Now with that being said if you have question like this in the future please post them in the general modding discussion boards as this is not the topic to be asking questions on unless they are related to the mod. Thank you |

Well i did download your l4dr mod, and let me tell you it was great, but a flipping challenge, like the game has a secret expert mode. And i don't recall that you can save in the sandbox mode with this at all? Like i would go to an auto save but it said i was in the safe house. Like is this supposed to happen or something? Anyways it's a great mod, i love the uzi you added btw and the painkillers replacing quick step, but when i only had 3 survivors, no zombies spawned except for events, which only happened when i started newgame+ instead of newgame completely. And the tank takes >>>>forever<<<< to kill, which i understand because, its a tank, but yeah dude i can tell that you worked very hard on this mod and its a great mod, love this, but i do have thoughts of uninstalling it to play my original modded dr2, then switchback, (<< which is a great song by celldweller btw you should check him out if you havent) to l4dr. Anyways dude on the scale of 1-10, i give it a 9.5! the .5 is because of the flaws, or bugs i should say, that i was having with l4dr. Good job man! I know all of this is unnecessary because this is off the topic here, but damn dude its awesome. I want to be pro modder like you, like im getting into learning how to mod weapons, how to make my own, making a totally new npc, and what falls out of boxes. Thanks man, and stay awesome.
