Hi all,
First time poster, long time lurker here. I'm playing around with doing some modding in DR2:OTR and one of the things I've tried is replacing Franks model with that of a female npc.
I'm familiar with using gibbed's tools and have done this sort of thing in DR2. I've swapped franks default clothes (chest_default_frank.big and .tex) with srv_jeanna_slick for example, and have also swapped all the player skeleton files with the female skeleton files. I've also created a blank .txt file and renamed it to hands_base_frank, head_base_frank and so on to get around the usual clipping issues.
All looks fine in game until you look at 'Frank' side on. The face just looks wrong, almost like a monkey pouting (hence the thread title) and the eyes bulge out. I've found that if I don't replace the playerfullbody.big skeleton file I don't get this issue, but then because it's using the male skeleton file the hands and shoulders don't look right.
Is there a way around this that I'm totally missing or is this a known issue with no real solution currently? I'm aware of similar issues in DR2 which the modding community managed to get resolved with some sort of improved skeleton file. Searching the forums I've found several topics discussing making similar swaps, but only one old post which went unanswered described the same issue.
