I would not believe this unless it happened to me.
One model "stole" another model's textures.
I was in Americana Casino, in debug mode, spawning all of the corpses for screen shots.
I noticed a "new" model I had never seen before: It was Wallace (tape it or die) / Justin (the hung victim in WWJWD?), who both share a model (except Justin has no head under the bag. The new corpse model had no real face texture and its shoes were also a strange texture.
But the model was dean_corpse_attractor who I swore was Tim (the dead guy in Code Blue). I opened dean_corpse_attractor and sure enough, this was dead Tim.
Then I removed the four hung people, and the new model became Tim again.
I then removed all the models, and through a process of repeated trail and error, I found out that when:
dean_corpse_attractor (tim) is in the same room as:
justin (hangvictim_dead) and
the other unnamed hung victim (hangvictim_dead1)
dean_corpse_attractor steals justin's textures.
But it only happens when these three are in the same area together. If I remove either one of the hung people, and have justin and tim in the same area only, it does not work.
So in the future when you are modding and an item steals another items textures. You will know what is happening.
