After seeing minazuki's stuff it seemed like something interesting to do so I threw this together. update: added in hairstyles through shoes, finished adding in clothing so every single item of clothing, from hair colouring to shoes does something to the outfit. update 2: every single hair/hat outfit item now provides an accessory, except the tennis headband because i have never seen that in game before, ever. update 3: changed the bigfile.xml to be formatted less messy, hopefully this should fix problems folks have with packing 11/1: quick fix on the summer dress, one piece pajama, bald hairstyle and arthur's helm www.mediafire.com/?gqha7bu17h2741xBasically just lets you switch clothes with almost every outfit in the Royal Flush Plaza. All the clothing and head items should change you into different outfits. This includes the hair colourings and items in SportsTrans now! Shoes will now change the hairstyle; default boots is default hair. However, many hairstyles clip like this: But not all will do that. Instructions are the same as every other model replacement mod, unpack npcs.big with gibbed's tools, replace files, repack and then replace the npcs.big. Also remember to place the /data folder in your dead rising 2 directory, as so the skeleton's not all jank. here's some pictures that probably explain it better: update: very janky hair changing, maybe 3-4 styles work decently As always, please leave feedback and report bugs.

you got the right idea, changing the xml and scenedescription, but it seems like for the scenedescription you need to use a hex editor of some sort for it to work, because it's formatted using 36-bit hex
or that's what the program says anyways.
also, huge update that puts in just about every single unique outfit.

i got a question would ya'll prefer this how it is, or having switchable hairstyle with some pretty bad clipping? stacey's head mesh doesn't work with different hair styles because her head is apparently much taller than other ones, so i switched it out for europa's which works nearly perfectly however, there's a huge problem with the head mesh not extending down to where a lot of meshes have skin at, leading to problems like this on some of the outfits:

update, i decided to just stick with the stacey head and let hairs be switchable that way if you want you can keep her regular hair, or switch it. i also have made every single clothing item in the royal flush plaza change some part of clothing. outfits are outfits shoes are hair hats are misc. equipment this includes the hair dyes and stuff, it's really every single clothing item that i found in the place

This is so sweet dude. I had the same idea aswell. Kudos for doing it faster man!
Edit: Im actually getting the same problem as the chap from Hong Kong. Gibbeds packer is crashing when you try to repack after putting your replacements in. Ive put them in the original npcs.big and it still doesnt seem to work so I think it might have something to do with youre recent update or something like that. Finally, why have you included cast_katey.big? Was that deliberate?

This is pretty impressive stuff tab, how the heck are you getting the close to fit on the female body? Or is it still actually a male body attached to the same skeleton?
Edit : Oh.. I think I get it now. From the video I see all the female survivors outfits being used by doing model swaps over chuck's clothes that is available in the locker.

update making it so every hat/hair piece in the game now gives a different accessor and hopefully a fix for the non-packing thing, hopefully
edit: cross post, shows more of my other mod but also an accessory switch in it too
that's weird, it works for my stock npcs.big using the folder i'm uploading into it
well i remade the .rar so hopefully it won't cause any problems from now on, since that's what i think was causing that
i don't even know how cast_katey got into the last version, considering it's got nothing to do with this
also those guns are from my other, more interesting mod in the "other mods" section
seriously though please report immediately if it don't work

very very strange. i just revalidated my files, to see if my stock npcs.big was maybe wrong, but nope it's a working npcs.big and extracting from the rar into the folder, then repacking works 100%
are you using an actual unmodified npcs.big for the base folder, or something else?
if you're using a modified one, like the one with the bunny rebecca it won't load because the bigfile.xml skips a lot of stuff for loading.
what version of the unpacker/packer are you using, anyways? it shouldn't really make a difference but i'm using like 6 or 8 or somethin'

i just checked again, i still can't find any problem by using a completely fresh npcs.big and just extracting the files there what exactly are you two doing?
the only answer i've gotten so far for why it would be like this is user error, since version doesn't matter and it should be assumed ya'll are using the same base file and folder i am
do this:
1. unpack an unmodified npcs.big
2. place the files (except the data folder) into the npcs_big folder, replacing 138 files
3.repack
4. rename the files npcs.big
5. replace
edit: whoops my bad i replaced the link in the first post with the bigfile, i'll fix that right away
edit 2: fixed

i really don't want to, but i'll do it if more folks come out and say they're having trouble because there should be absolutely no technical reason it should
could yall take screenshots of your folders/ your process in which you are doing this?
or at least detail specifically what yall are doing?

It was our fault mate. It works fine with the rev11 version of Gibbeds. Sorry for mucking you about!
Also, I think you should go with Europas head or something, because Stacey has that massive black part under her neck. (Looks like a shadow for the collar)

I think your updated download link may not be working, at least not for me anyhow. Also, I think the tennis headband might actually be the dealers visor

looks like that was caused by putting bold in front of the url, fixed and the tennis headband is in palisade mall, in the sports store i decided to add in all the clothing items in the storeroom next to the infirmary and cafeteria, but this is using my mod so if you're using both here's a way to have access to the clothing items www.mediafire.com/?1bxkd7lxo3bn618you can get past the first line by going through a gap on the rightmost area
