So i've been thinking...is their a way to edit the boomstick in the items.txt to still have the properties of the combo weapon, but when you aim with it you can fire it like a shotgun rather then throwing it like a pitchfork? It seems like it is possible, I just wanted to be sure...

alright, im free rn. try going to items.txt, find PitchForkShotgun, and remove the line that says "AnimationChooserValueForThrow = "13""

Hey, sorry it's been awhile, I've just been dealing with some personal issues...I'm getting back into DR2 though, just tried your solution and it still doesn't work, chuck just stands their and does nothing while in aimed mode...Anymore ideas perhaps?

alright, try removing those animation chooser values, if you want you could also copy code from the shotgun itself

Hey, sorry, I already tried deleting the animation chooser value line, and when I go into the game and aim the boom stick, it doesn't aim and chuck just stands still as if he is just regularly holding the weapon...as for your second solution, which lines of code should I copy from the shotgun?

Alright, Gonna try it now...will I still be able to do the combo weapon animation even though I copied all the code? Like the one were you stab the zombie with the pitchfork and shoot their torso...
Edit: Okay, so I just looked through the items.txt file, and sorry, but could you be just a little more specific with what lines I should copy? Because the boomstick has more lines then the shotgun and they both also have different lines of code from each other. Again sorry, I'm still kind of new to this, and I don't want to mess anything up...

ok, so basically, i just realized that you likely want to keep the attacks but want it to fire when you aim. unfortunately i dont believe thats possible, but still, now is a good time for learning how to make it pretty much like the shotgun you want to keep the code relating to the combo card. also keep the "AssetFilename", "DisplayName", "Durability", and "IconFilename". replace everything else.
