(Note #1: There has been a petition (made by what seems to be JDS) over here. It seems to have 1,174 supporters at this moment. (Congrats, however, that probably won't last for long...)

(Note #2: There seems to be another petition (also sponsored (?) by JDS (I think?...maybe not?) that has 550 supporters. (Man, the combination of 2,000 supporters seems pretty small tho. I personally don't think that can combat the sales of the mainstream.)

(Note #3: As much as I disagreed with JDS in some past threads, man, if I were him, I would be rolling in his grave right about now. As such, the following link will be the GameSpot article that I will discuss today.)

So, apparently, Capcom had the nerve/balls to discuss why they changed Frank's voice during the previews we have seen.
Whelp, I guess that my (modding Frank's voice from Dead Rising 1 and 2 even more obvious now than before...) (Link: deadrising2mods.proboards.com/thread/2431/understand-frank-west-issue )
But, of course, just because I'm "not really affected by this" doesn't mean I either support this or don't have a fair share of criticism as well.
First off, (from the Gamespot article) the comparison between James Bond and Frank West is rather flawed when you actually think about it. According to Wikipedia, (I know, not a reliable source, but it will do at the moment.) (Link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Bond_filmography) the reason why there were different voice actors were (for the most part) three reasons: age (you can't have a 80-year old playing him), retirement (you can't use an actor if the actor can't do the job here), and a declined offer (same as above).
Now, with the Frank West issue, none of these comparisons really stick up in the end of the day as T.J. didn't grow too old, didn't retire from being a voice actor, and actually sent support to petitions to be the voice actor for Frank. (This fact might make me look like a hypocrite from my thread above/argument with JDS since I said the EXACT OPPOSITE than now. But, of course, that was during a time when facts where still thrown around in circles. Now, that things have been settled, it's easier to obverse many small factors than before.)
(No, I'm not saying that Frank's old actor (which is T.J.Rotolo) is better than his new one (which is STILL unknown for some reason), I'm just saying that Frank's new voice doesn't fit his character. It's still a good voice actor, it just doesn't flow well together.)
(I might type more later...I'm pretty tired as it is...)
