What it says on the tin. A mod that will make the items, once picked up, to disappear for the rest of the playthru. I feel that all the abundance of items, on top of the weapons locker, makes the whole game a bit too. Easy. Get all the upgrades, every two items you pick up can create heavy metal or another overpowered weapon. I want to feel challenged, make it feel like a real apocalypse, with dwindling food and resources. For the purposes of this mod, as well as the overall balance, I want the infinite respawning cases, like the old lady's food supply or gun shops to be uneffected. This should be obvious, but I would like the same to count for the dlc episodes.

Oh my god, while I don't know if we can pull this off now or not, this is a wonderful idea! Combined with Tommah's epic Romero mod, this would make for an amazing experience!

I thought items don't respawn on the world map anyway. Do they?

Don't know, I think it respawns when you reload the map via save or death. Just tried this on DR1, really changes the way you play. Mostly have to depend on items dropped by zombies/infinite containers, not to mention lack of food.

I'm pretty sure things only respawn if you reload a chapter or restart a save. The world saves everything on the map. The only thing that I could changing is removing item dispensers.

yeah the map is always fully loaded. So this means once the item is gone it is gone. if you removed all item and weapon placements and made so you only get them from a locker and somehow limit it to only one of each item which I am not sure is possible. we could simulate this. still have a lot to learn from dr3 it seems.
