Hi guys, I've been screwing around with this all day, and can't get it working. I'd really appreciate if someone could offer any suggestions. I'm using the original version of Dead Rising 2 for PC, and have been following the tutorial at this link: deadrisingwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Mod:Create_ReskinsSo basically, starting with "Modify .tex file example" everything works fine. NPC.big file unpacks fine. I selected chest_default.tex. Copied it to the Gibb's folder and unpacked. Upacking is successful. Opened QuickBMS and selected the Dead Rising 2 script, available at the QuickBMS wesbsite. This might be where I messed up, but according to the tutorial you select the same "chest_default.tex" file that you already unpacked. Selected the same folder for output. It creates 6 new files. A new folder was indeed created. At step 8, upon opening the folder, I'm pretty much fucked. No DDS, just a copy of the folder I already unpacked. Can't open those files with no extension in Noesisv either. Thanks in advance.

If you have 3ds max, then download Mario's OTR scripts. The unpack and repack scripts can unpack and repack the textures of both DR2 models and OTR ones. Much easier to edit and modify textures with those. Also much less work to go through than the old method you re using now.

Unfortunately, I don't use Studio Max.
Edit//
All I need are the textures, not the models. Please, can you take a look and walk me through it?
