Hello all! Let me preface this by saying I love the "Chuck is a Chick" mod! Honestly, I wouldn't have purchased this game without it (DR2 really shoulda had a female player- especially for co-op). Now, I got the mod installed and working correctly, I was even able to re-skin Nikki from Case Zero to be a gorgeous ebony enchantress in a Jean jumpsuit! So, I got my boyfriend to play this game, cos he saw me running around as my girl, and he decided he'd get this game, too, so we can play together. So, last night he purchases it, and we do all of the fun GFWL crap that comes with a first time installation (literally took 2 hours... ugh).
So, we get it all ready to roll, I install the EXACT same mods I have on my game to his. Huzzah- it works! He sends me a game invite, I load into his world- and there our chicks are! Oh, but wait... they have the TIR helmet on their face (my bf's avatar had night vision goggles on), and they both have the Motor Pants+Boots on. We try the "return to default clothing, save and restart" trick that works just fine Solo, but when we load back in, these friggin' things keep loading up over our bitches (no disrespect).
Has anyone had this happen to them? I have a few things I am going to try, including: 1. Uninstall and reinstall DR2. Play the game for a little bit WITHOUT the "CiaC" mod, log into a co-op game and select an outfit as Chuck without the TIR crap on, save, and install the mod. I think this might work, my bf isn't so optimistic (game is reinstalling while I post this). 2. Cropping out complete items, as per the DRWiki. The only problem is I'm not exactly sure what these items would be considered, and where to go to find them in the datafile. If anybody has any advice, it would be appreciated- to a wonderful degree!
Those are the only options I can think of to try and make this mod work in Co-op. Has anyone else gotten this mod to work in Co-op? If so, did you have to do any of the above? See, I think it might be #1 because we loaded up after getting the models to look right in Solo player- maybe we loaded in too early together or something. I'm just worried that everytime we load up together, it will put that crap on us.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and any advice is greatly appreciated! Of course if I get it to work, I'll come back here and shut this down, along with the resolution to the problem.

I've never played this mod in co-op so I have never seen this issue. So post some screen shots from the game that shows the issues you guys are having. Use the frap program or any free program that let's you take screen shots in games.

Thank you very much for the quick response, solidcal! So, I reinstalled it and tried to get a lil' further down the line without the mod installed- that didn't work. Not only did it not work, it corrupted the save file once I did install the mod, which made sense to me. So I restarted the game with the mod, and took some screenshots. Here they are!: This is them appearing correctly in Solo mode. AND this is how we appear in the same game together. I'm not entirely sure why, but it appears as if we never defaulted the outfit and saved, logged out and relogged. About the only other thing I can think to do is to crop the items off or delete them from the game or something... which, I"m pretty good at modding, but I'm brand new to modding DR2, so I'm not sure how to go about doing that! I've seen the wiki on it, but I'm not sure where these items are or what they'd be considered, etc. Thanks again for the responses!

Hmmm both of you try to change to chuck's default yellow jacket, boots, jeans and his face and hair and save the game. Reload and join either person's game and then put on an outfit/female character and see if that works. If not I'll give you the names of the outfits pieces so you can just make them invisible and enjoy the game again

Thanks again, solidcal!
Yeah, we tried to do that. If you could just give me the names of the pieces, I will gladly erase them! Thanks again- I know my other half will be happy if I get this working.

Thanks again- I know my other half will be happy if I get this working. chest_tir_outfit chest_tir_outfit_yellow leg_tir_outfit leg_tir_outfit_yellow feet_tir_outfit_over feet_tir_outfit_under hands_tir_outfit headwear_tir_outfit Also to explain the outfit yellow for the legs and chest seem to be a coloured and filtered version. No idea why they have those two version though. The boots or feet models have an over version which is what is seen when you have the boots on and not the rest of the outfit and under is the version used when chuck has trousers on. headwear is obviously the TIR helmet. The rest are the hands and such just in case any of the other bits show up for you guys. Now go have fun!

Thank you! I have found them in the clothingdatabase... I just don't know how to get rid of them! Lol!
EDIT: Hm, I found the SceneDescription file for the chest_tir_outfit, but when I open it with Notepad++, it doesn't show up like it shows on the Wiki... it's a weird looking txt with no values...

Thank you! I have found them in the clothingdatabase... I just don't know how to get rid of them! Lol! EDIT: looking at the guide on this, and I'm not seeing a SceneDescription file... also, each piece has a .big and .tex file... would I delete both (I would assume so...) UBER EDIT: Ah, it's like falling down the rabbit hole. I think I'm starting to get it... will post with an update soon! You just need to open the bigfile.xml in npcs.big and delete the outfits code lines. They should look like this.
headwear_tir_outfit.big

headwear_tir_outfit.tex
Just delete the big and tex code lines for each outfit part. Save and repack the npcs.big and the outfit parts should be invisible in game. This is how I remember doing it. Apologies if I got something wrong. Been a while since I did this in DR2.
