Co-op Modding?

I know modding works in co-op if both players have the same files/mods installed, but i was wondering if its possible for both characters to be modded into a new one? Me and my friend want to play OTR together with me as Psycho Chuck and her as Leon Bell. Is this possible to do? Easy to mod Frank by just renaming his default_chest etc files so does the same thing work to mod just the co-op partner so we both see each other correctly? I have found all of Frank's files and know Chuck's are named 'male_' Has anyone done this yet? I've already tried a few animation file renames to try and use Chuck's animation for drinking etc but i still get Frank's so it can be a bit confusing renaming/replacing files and stuff


While on this subject we want to do the same for DR2 as well except i would just be normal Chuck with her as Leon. As both partners in DR2 are Chuck is it possible to mod one person as Leon while the other stays default? I dont know if the co-op partner uses a seperate lot of files, both being the same character i wasnt sure if it would work or not if its the same files for both

You both need to install all the exact same mods in order for that to work.

I know we'd both need the same files I just wasnt sure it would work. So as long as I use Frank's files to be Psycho Chuck and my friend does the same to see me right, and she uses the co-op model files to overwrite with Leon's model and I do the same it'll all work fine? So Frank's head, chest default etc need to be replaced with boss Chuck for both of us and for co-op model its just chest_default etc (all the same files but without 'frank' in them)? Im assuming to make it Leon its done the same way as in DR2 where you're just renaming the files for the person you want to be to chest_default and add the modified bigfile.xml and thats it?


I thought of a way to get it to work in DR2 as both players are Chuck. It could just be done using the clothing method couldnt it? If i make some piece of clothing so when you put it on you become Leon, that way I can still be Chuck but if my friend puts on whatever outfit i make it then she can be Leon. I need to give this method a try to see how it works. Is the only way i can think of to get it to work. I know we'd both need to have the clothing file modified for it to work

Again, you both need the EXACT same files modified for it to be seen correctly. It couldn't be any simpler to understand.
