But i still need to rig my model, right ? and what do i use from the script ( i mean "export"/"inject" ... )? If i had a step by step tutorial it would be so much easier x) Basically, what do i have to do ? I have my model. Not assigned to any bones of anything. It's just there x) What do i do first with it ? Watch the video tutorial Mario did. It is a little complicated to understand, but you'll get the general idea of it soon. Alright i'll do this ^^ BTW, is it fine if i take an npc to rig my model while i wanna use it as an outfit for Frank ? because i don't wanna have to separate the model in 10 000 pieces and fit each one to Frank which is a pain in the ass xD I mean for example, if i use Sullivan's model to rig mine, will it be a playable outfit ? You have to add the new model in to the npcs.big and give it a name like for example chest_undies.big and tex. The you have to go in to the models big file, copy one of the outfit codes that has frank and chuck's names of the same outfit and create a new code with the new name in it. Once that is done and saved you pack it up and make the code in tems.txt. Follow the dr1 frank outfit mod as a guideline Thanks a lot for the answer ^^ I see what you mean, but now i extracted the chest from Frank DR1 as i'm playing with this mod to see how it was done and i see all of these files : do they create themselves or something ? And wouldn't i have to import Frank's skeleton or something like that to get it to work ingame ? Sorry i'm really a noob to all of this XD my modding past has always been music modding, retextures and model porting for RE4 which was pretty easy x) Thanks a lot for your help ! ^^

Hi there, i wanted to do a model import, i followed mariokart64n's video tutorial but it's being a real pain in the ass to make it fit each part of Frank's outfits ... and i tried several of them -.-'. I could see that for some mods here, Lee Everett and Dead Rising 1 Frank West for example, that the modders made new outfits with their own "distributor" to pick them up in game. I got how it worked to make a distributor but how do i add an actual new model to the game ? The best would also be if it could be in one part ( no seperated legs from chest and all, just like the Lee Everett mod ). Thanks.

Hi there ! i'm a complete noob to 3ds max and i'd simply like to resize a model and i have no idea how to do that XD In milkshape 3D it's easy there's a scale option but here i can't seem to find anything x) Thanks ! Right click and the scale option can be selected from the menu that appears. I'd suggest watching some tuts on youtube to get a basic understanding of the program. Wow i thought i checked the right click menu already XD ah well, i must have missed it i'm a bit tired x) Thanks !

As you know OTR's model and skeletons are slightly changed and edited from the DR2 versions. So if you just replaced the basic file with a OTR one the game will crash. But the models from DR2 and OTR both have a peristen.big file which holds all the model information. geometry and so on. So you import a OTR model just to use, then you rig whatever you need over that. What I have found is, if you change the name of the model piece in 3ds max. Like let's say you have a model piece from OTR called geojacketshapedeformed and the DR2 model you using doesn't have a name like that and the only closest thing to it is geojacketshape. You just rename it in 3ds max to that one. It imports easily that way too. But you are using a PS3 version which isn't supported as the model coding is compressed and different on the consoles and none of the tools seem to work for it either. I see ... Thanks for the answer ^^ i guess i'll have to DL it for PC, and keep the files i need for modding purpose

Good job Freako! Now all we need are the maps, survivors, missions, sounds, textures, models, weapons, vehicles etc. But still I am proud of you. Why don't you just go play DEAD RISING 1? Simple as that, instead of asking people to remake a game that ALREADY EXISTS. HUD and Playermodels from the first game are great, some people don't like the New Frank, but no one here would want the entire of Dead Rising 1 ported to the 2nd, it's pointless, when you can just play the original. pfff offer me a fucking XBOX 360 then ! do you think everybody has the console to buy the game ? i wish i had it but i don't so i'd love a total conversion or a port !

Man I miss Dead Rising 1 so much.. I mean I still play it now and then, but I miss the good old days where PJThePlayer and Perplexr made Dead Rising videos and the game was popular. Now Dead Rising 2 and Off The Record have ruining everything. Don't get me wrong, I played all of the games (except for Chop Till' You Drop). And I did like them for a long while, but they just can't beat Dead Rising 1. Simple horror zombie killing action. The others just feel like way to childish and low quality. I think the new ones look more colorfull and cartoon-ish. Just not my taste.. Dead Rising will always have a reserved special place in my heart. Be happy , you have it at least , i don't have the 360 and would love to play it 'cause the videos i saw were really awesome , i love this game but i never played it >_<

Nice to see you back duke. thanks ;D for now i'm LAAAAAAAAAZY to mod , even RE4 but i like to keep taking a look at what happens here , as i luv DR so much i would love to see a total conversion from OTR to DR 1 xD but that's pretty much impossible ;D

DR1 running animations were akward why would you want that? WUT ? this made me want to look at DR 1 videos and i like them ! they're SMOOTH , in DR2 and OTR they look robotic , BAD .... fuck , i don't have the 360 when i'll be full of cash xD

does anyone know how to increase this? the game is too easy!! i want mega zombie apocalypse mode. i'm actually making a hardcore mod , 1 hit = 1 squarre , less ammo , less weps durability and i'm looking for a way to make them as agressive as at night ;D

I thought you could change the amount of alcohol, i remember changing something like that with it saying like AmountofAlcohol = "0.1" or something like that. now that you mention that does sound familiar, I was thinking it was just a "FoodEffect" but I could be wrong. I think that's more for the mixed food effects , and now I'm looking for a way to make the zombies more aggressive as when it's night time , there should be some sort of script or i don't know maybe a text file as items.txt but i don't remember that I've seen some sort of option like that in there

Question..how is disabling gas zombies going to make it harder? lol That'd have the exact opposite effect, it'd make it easier. it's 'cause with the gas zombies it's even going to be impossible xD 1 square damage + gas zombie damages = 2 mins of resistance

yeah , and just noticed that I CHANGED durability but if you use weapons BEFORE modding , the weapon'll keep the old durability that's all xD a little Up ! i was fighting with a boss , and stopped xD it's hard an long , that's the point i'm just tired now but tomorrow i'll kick his fuckin' ass ;D so i reduced more durability for more weapons , gave a realistic clip to the gun ( 15 bullets instead of 30 lolz ) and to the six shot , my fav :'D ( 12 shots instead of 60 ) , now i wanna edit the handgun to make it one shot when headshot 'cause it takes 12 bullets to kill by shooting the head xD

UPDATE ! : raised Zombies life as hell , and now they're very difficult to kill , and don't count on sharp weapons as katana 'cause I'm gonna low down the durability example : shot'em with the shotgun and they're still alive xD , well , they're useless but it's just to show you that even lvl 50 , H to H it takes time to kill them now ! i even tried to blow some of them and MOST OF THE TIME they get up and attack again ;D I killed a psycho too and i raised his life as hell and it took a lot of time , all of the items of my inventory and a club of golf to kill him this is how i wanted it to be xD even the car doesn't kill directly xD I'm still looking for a way to vomit with only 2 bottles , and to put less durability and ammo

What is it ? simply a mod hard for the game xD - Food gives you only one square of life now - Zombies attacks takes you off one square of life >: D - less ammo in guns - gaining less PP ( hihihi ) - 2 Bottles of any alchool will make you vomit instead of 3 ( I'm not sure if i can do that xD ) - MAYBE ** SPOILERS ** disabling gas zombies ** SPOILER ** - More life to Psychos ( Hardcore , not easy ) results : the game will be harder and you'll see it by your own eyes
