I took a break from the Dead Rising 2 community, however, now I'm back it's amazing to see the progress everyone's made with model imports! Something I'd love to have is a model replacement for Frank of Jill Valentine, from RE3. However, I have no idea of how to rig things fro DR2:OTR as I've only ever done it for L4D2. I have a Jill Valentine RE3 model I'd like to use: thefree3dmodels.com/stuff/characters/jill_re3/14-1-0-2159And I'd love for some help! Thanks in advance, Adejam.

You guys just need to upgrade your PC's. There's no magic cure when it comes to messing with the core graphics engine of the game... You can't alter the graphics past what the in-game menu lets you. It's a console port! I have no money? It's easy for some... Plus, there is a magic way of anti-lagging myself with this minimise trick, so it's not my card...

When you maximize, as the game is faster for a while, are the shadows gone too? No, but I assume removing shadows would help in the long run, rather than trying to find something about this mysterious minimise fix

Oh-Hi! I was wondering if anyone can make a mod to remove shadows in the game? I ask this because I don't think zombies are my problem; whenever I minimise out of DR2 and then maximise back in, all my lag is gone... for a short while that is... I was thinking maybe someone could help me? Best regards, Adejam.

Oh-hai-hai! Just a small recolour I did of my 'Cuscene Rebecca' model replacement, Tango Rebecca Download*USE INSTEAD OF THE 'Rebecca bullet hole fix.tpf' LISTED ON THE MODEL'S DOWNLOAD PAGE, AS THIS WILL CORRECT THE BULLET HOLE AS WELL* Enjoy!! HOW TO USE / INSTALL THE RESKINDownload TexMod: (Very small download) www.bigdownload.com/games/texmod/pc/texmod/1.Once you have downloaded Texmod, Extract the ZIP 2. Boot up TexMod.EXE (If your using Vista or Windows 7, you may need admin status to use program properly) 3. The program will auto-boot up in the "Packing Mode" tab, In the top left corner you'll see a folder. Click this, and select DeadRising2.EXE (you should know your installation location) 4. Once you have the game selected, Go down a bit and you'll see a smaller folder icon, click this, and this is where you pick the mod you want to use. Go to where you downloaded the mod on your PC , and select the .TPF file. (Rebecca Tango.tpf) 5. Now you have the mod selected! When your ready, click "RUN", and enjoy the mod! (Thanks to Wizard for this)

Nah... I think people need to learn how simple combining mods are on their own. We've explained it time and time again on many threads -- Just do it yourself Although I do like the idea of a collaboration, I must say, doing it yourself is much better, you can pick what YOU want yourself, and it teaches the leechers some manners and modding skills as well Best regards, Adejam.

It's looks cool Mr.wizard. but can you change her hair style to the original version? Check my post, I've updated with all the links, I think having that tiny indent will be the only way to have her original hair, Best regards, Adejam.

There isnt a Bullet Hole anymore he fixed that By using a different, not as high-res model, they're asking for the other model which looks much better, but without the bullet hole, I'm working on editing out the bullet hole, but it still leaves a bump map which won't disappear. The most I could get is this: I assume the indent is a state that is activated when she is shot at, but as a player model, there is no activation, or hiding of the wound, so that's the best I could do... If you don't mind these problems, it's not really at all noticable Link for texmod file download (The bullet hole fix itself): www.megaupload.com/?d=BTECXY3LModel download: www.megaupload.com/?d=1O8LX6DHAnimation download (Thanks to tab): www.mediafire.com/?ac6g27aw1u8cqwuAnd a fixed skeleton (No more special hip or hook nose, thanks to bananeensucre) download: hotfile.com/dl/75997548/ab6e83f/playerfullbody.big.htmlBest regards, Adejam.

I'm a console gamer so unfortunately don't have access to any of these mods like you guys. I already played DR2 a lot on the 360 but it's so cool to see what you guys are doing here to make the game more interesting and unique. I was wondering what happens to cutscenes when you have a character model swap. Does the facial expression/lip syncing still match like Chuck is talking? I've looked on Youtube but can't find any cutscene model swap mods (only fighting). Can anyone upload video footage of various model swaps in cutscene action? Oh, I was wondering if anyone could do a model swap with the guy that is in the Fortune City promo trailer. This video clip plays when the main menu is idle (fake commercial for Fortune City with man and his gf). I'm not sure if his game model is ever actually in the game though (it's high res/poly since it was used for trailer). You see him talking during the beginning cutscene where "average citizens" are being interviewed. You also see his gf in the yellow dress being eaten when Chuck is running to the safe house with Katey. Also, am I right in assuming that the game has higher polygon character models for most characters during the cutscenes? I noticed that Rebecca, Stacey and Katey don't look very good in non-cutscene. The models used in cutscenes are the same models that sit around your safehouse -- there is no additional graphics boost other than the fact that cutscenes use cinematic cameras. In the event you swapped the Chuck model for a different model, whatever model you are playing will be in the cutscenes as Chuck would've been. Actually, Rebecca and Stacey specifically have different models for cutscene and in-game. I'm not sure about Katey, but I've never paid much attentions to it. But Becs and Stacey look MUCH better in cinematics (Better textures, hair looks better and moves realistically)

there's a doris model swap? It's easy enough just to switch the models, just find the Doris survivor model in the npcs.big folder and then copy it to a different file and rename it to what these replacements are called (Can't remember right now but it's to do with the chest) and make sure to replace the skeleton with the ones provided here.

you are the best. is there a way to make her change costume to banana hammock? (my real intention is for her to wear birthday suit.) [wink wink] ps the eyeballs come of of eye sockets again, this time not on rebecca face but from the bosses. i use your mod and run to fight 2 bosses in the casino who chop a girl in half and call it a trick. they both wear blue cloth. the short guy's eyes is easily noticeable. All the guys now have the problems the females used to have, but I think they always did if you switch to a female character (Eyes, hands and the other misc ones)

Hey, thanks for your work. i really like your mods One problem: when using a gun (tested with handgun) the left arm/hand looks like she's kinda physically disabled (especially when standing still), looks very weird havent tested it, but i think its the same for the stacey-model etc. anything you can do about that? I will be releasing V2.0 of this mod tonight (along with many others) to fix up these issues, thanks to Tab Whoup Whoup! ;D I'm really glad, can't wait

Hi. Unfortunately we have no tools at this time to put custom models in DR2 . Sorry. Thanks! No need to apologise! I'm fine with just using texmod But I still need to find which part of her texture has the hair band in, and how to sort out the hair, Alternatively I could try and find a zombie that has a similar mesh as what I'm looking for, maybe with a bun instead of a ponytail, and then replace the model with that and re-texture it? If anyone finds anything let me know! Best regards, Adejam.

Is it illegal to upload "completed" or changed files from the DR2 game for people who don't want to use tools to mod? I mean, whats keeping everyone from just hosting the NPC.BIG or any of the other modified files online so that newcomers don't have to use tools, and can just swap around files as they please rather than go through this whole process with each file they want to use? We could have a whole Stickied thread/sub-forum dedicated to hosting these files everyone makes, so you can just download and overwrite as necessary. People will even be able to upload various combinations of files, such as: Play as Rebecca, Play as Rebecca + Six Shooter Mod, Play As Rebecca, + Weapons at Safe House, Play As Rebecca + Six Shooter Mod + Weapons at Safe House, etc. It's quicker to download just the things that have been changed, it takes about 5 minutes before I have the mod in game for me, compared to about 30 minutes of waiting for 450mb to download, which sounds better?

Oh-Hai-Hai! I'm working on a mod that let's you play wearing Lara's AoD outfit: (Using texmod of course) I did a quick test at recolouring the Stacey model replacement to look like Lara: It's alright, but it has some flaws: I can't get it so that the light doesn't make her hair look red (I recoloured it brown and it looks so in some dark places) I can't find the part of the texture that has her hair band (I know it's on the jacket image, but not where) And it still sounds like Chuck, I did find some grunt sounds and replace them with Lara's risqué sounds, but it had no effect in game...
