It's different. The hair is recessed in OTR and obviously if you look closely the sideburns don't fit on his head.

alright I just have the shoes to replace now, but I still cant get this jacket texture to show up, I found out that it is to do with the tex file, oddly I cant unpack the tex file after packing it. anyone know why this could be?
is it due to texture size? the other textures work fine, just not the jacket texture

This seems like a stupid half assed idea, but what if you merged the jacket with the pants model and just change the shirt model to an invisible one?
I don't really think that's a good idea but it could be a temporary workaround.

Of course it's possible, if you can play as a survivor which is a complete single model, then you would be able to do that.
...Why not just make a single model version then? =| Bah!

I think the problem lies in the texture itself rather then the package im ganna try and replace sullivan with brad and see if I get the same problem, I notice everything that only needs 1 texture is fine, the jacket is the only one I compiled so far that needed multiple textures

I remember I was trying to texture a shirt, which of course uses more than one texture and it itself kept coming up black. So I definitely think it's a bug Mariokart will have to fix.

but mario was able to make jessie and shes uses multiple textures, even back when I did tali she used 4 different textures and it compiled fine, so the jacket problem is very... odd

It may be a bug in the newer script. Try packing the .tex with an older version.

Go check mario's topic, he needs some help identifying the problem.

I found Frank's higher quality camera here: model\om\om0095\ So you may want to use that one.

I was wondering is the camera on each chest model the camera used in game though? cause all the textures dont work for the chest model except for the camera, its kinda like how franks hair texture file only has a spec and normal map but no diffuse

Yes, the camera for each different chest model is the camera used in game, I can confirm that.
It does seem quite odd, doesn't it?

well im sure as hell not replacing every sing camera model XD and yeah youd think they make it one file, the dicing is really odd in models, hair is just.... annoying

Just using it on DR1 Frank's model will be enough.

im actually still having the corrupt chest texture file error from before, tried compiling with a old script, im thinking its the textures themself.

Guess you could try copying the texture then paste it into a new blank file and save it again. Try to eliminate any variables plus other big words so I sound smart.

Plus, you could for the time being convert it to source. People would enjoy that.

I dont do source stuff anymore, to many limitations and it isnt very interesting

Ah, I was unaware that you stopped with that. But yes, It's baffling as to why that outdated engine is still being used.

I agree, valve neglects to update their engine unlike every other company and they keep making games on this 2001 engine, it hardly support features that almost every other engine supports, such as cloth, alphas that render correct. small bone limit, very very glitchy physics, spec maps and normal maps cant be included in a single phong material... hardly supports dynamic lighting, their engine is a mess really.

Another thought, did you try decreasing the size of the texture?
