First Mod Release! Yay! So after some learning, I bring to you the very first model swap, Boss Chuck over DEFAULT Frank West! If your Frank is all geared up in other clothes, visit your locker back at the safe house to go back to default clothing. Currently he has Franks "Grunt" noises, I may go back and fix this up later. But its a males voice acting for a male character so all is good for now DOWNLOAD: www.mediafire.com/?oru8kxtcbjgqzklImages: (Click the links for images, WARNING: CONTAINS SPOLERS!) i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee17/Wizard2_01/Other%20Stuff/Public%20Photos/deadrising2otr2011-10-1011-01-09-74.jpgi230.photobucket.com/albums/ee17/Wizard2_01/Other%20Stuff/Public%20Photos/deadrising2otr2011-10-1011-01-07-90.jpgi230.photobucket.com/albums/ee17/Wizard2_01/Other%20Stuff/Public%20Photos/deadrising2otr2011-10-1011-01-05-53.jpgi230.photobucket.com/albums/ee17/Wizard2_01/Other%20Stuff/Public%20Photos/deadrising2otr2011-10-1011-00-59-60.jpgHOW TO INSTALL: BACKUP NPCS.BIG 1. Extract the archive you just downloaded with 7zip, or Winrar 2. Download these tools, so you can make a playable file: deadrising2mods.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=dr2otctools&action=display&thread=920&page=13. On your PC, go to "D:\Program Files\CAPCOM\Dead Rising 2 Off The Record\data\models" This is the default install location, if it's installed elsewhere, you should know where that is. You'll see a Npcs.BIG, Copy this file. (Remember to make a backup of it!) 4. Go to where you downloaded & extracted the tools, paste Npcs.BIG into the folder. Click'n' Drag the file over "Gibbed.DeadRising2.Unpack.exe" Give the program time to extract it. 5. Once the extraction is done, place all the files that you downloaded for the mod into the folder. Should be 18 files total. 6. Now we need to re-pack the Npcs.BIG, so click'n'drag the NPCS folder onto "Gibbed.DeadRising2.Pack.exe" Give it time to repack, depending on the power of your PC, it can take anywhere from 1-3 minutes to repack fully. Once the black window dissapers, you know it's complete. 7. Place your new modded Npcs.BIG back where you originally found it. Which is : C:\Program Files\CAPCOM\Dead Rising 2 Off The Record\data\models Now enjoy the mod! Thanks for downloading! Sorry for the long Install process, there is nothing I can do about it to make it more simple. You'll get use to it

Hey, I've been coming to this site for Dead Rising 2 mods for a long time, but just joined to ask this question. Is there any way to change Frank into Dead Rising 2 Chuck with the ability to change into all the different clothes. I would think it would be possible since player 2 in Coop is this Chuck but I'm not really sure. If so, how would I go about making this mod?

I like this mod, this Chuck looks like a badass, kinda creepy too with the doll.

I'm seeing Frank's hair popping through Chuck's head... simple fix either remove headwear_base files or swap Chuck's model over headwear_base files

npcs_big is already unpacked, you need to Pack it using Gibbed.DeadRising2.Pack

Nevermind i fixed my own problem Incase anyone gets the same as me when you pack the new npcs.big file and it turns out named as npcs_big.BIG, when you paste it into the game model folder rename it to remove the extra '_big' so its just npcs.BIG otherwise the game will crash. Mine seems fine for now but i need to play longer to test out all the cutscenes and everything else to make sure its all good now Mod is now working, thank you Wizard for this Few questions though on things i'd like changed - How would you change it to remove Frank's voice and use Chuck's from co-op? Like the calling to survivors and grunt noises changed to Chuck's? Im not a modder so i dont know what files to add/change - Can Frank's animation of holding the camera when running be removed/changed with co-op Chuck's? Again i dont know what files to use I see Frank's head coming through the top but i will try what tommah said and remove the headwear_base files and see if that works. If not i'll need to download normal Chuck model and replace the files. Just not sure what files to use to change the sounds and animation Edit: Ok i tried tommah's method to get rid of Frank's head sticking through by removing the headwear_base files but that didnt work (whatever combination i used of the 4 files, leaving 2 there etc) it crashed the Pack tool every time. I downloaded Chuck's co-op model and replaced the headwear_base files with the ones from that and it has fixed the Frank hair issue. Thats one problem down, now i just need Chuck's sounds and animations and im set

Or you can simply just copy more files that have 0 byte in this mod and rename them to headwear_base_frank.big and .tex and replace the original.

Also here's a running animation replacement without holding camera www.mediafire.com/?q9syryhwbnidi8kplace in data/anim Thank you for that! Running is now fixed, no invisible camera. Much better thanks Ah i didnt know you had to edit stuff in another file too. Well it doesnt matter now cause I did it the other way using co-op Chuck's files. Works either way Any chance of anyone releasing ALL of the animation and sound files of co-op Chuck to replace Frank's? I'd love to do it myself but i have no idea how to. The files are obviously there its just knowing which are what and how to replace them with Frank's

The jumping attack seems to be miss most target lol I suggest you download tommah's instead. I didn't notice he already put it there deadrising2mods.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=dr2otceverythingelse&action=display&thread=1045*edit Or maybe not... even I change back to the original animation The jumping attack bug is still there. Whenever I use katana jumping attack instead aiming to the front He turned to the left side (-..-a)

Really? Im having no problems at all with the jump kick, i hit them every time. Sometimes i miss but its cause i kick too early due to being used to Chuck's kick, Frank's is slightly different. Im using the first link you gave me and its working fine
Would it be a big job to get all of the sounds and animations from co-op Chuck to replace Frank's? I dont even know where the co-op files are

Maybe because I add ninja outfit abilities to default outfit. That must be it. I heard that ninja special animation to weapon will cause bug in someplace. It will be fine after you chance the map. Hey I got a new one. This will fix the hands part too not only arms. www.mediafire.com/?exom6dqa9fnxlj4

Wrong Bro Drag The NPCS_big folder to Gibbed.Deadrising2.Pack.exe Then Rename Your Old npcs.big to backup_npcs.big then move it anywhere (in your desktop, documents)anywhere! Then Change The npcs_big.big to npcs.big(after the command propt closed) xD
