I've decreased the number of zombies drastically, though the type changes didn't seem to take(hard to really tell), still helps gameplay for those that need it. Still thick areas here and there, but not so bad. Hope this is OK to attach instead of using a 3rd party site for a tiny zipped file. Drastically reduced # of zombies. Zombies shouldn't follow you.(do attack though, and may wander up behind you...and the same goes for NPCs) It seems the change type didn't take, but it's functional. I don't care what you do with it. Someone can put it on a host, or edit, or include in their own mod pack, whatever. Great job! Editors like you make this site great. There have been around 5 posts asking for this. I will link them all here. I am going to use this file right now. THANK YOU. Zero zombies For those who are trying to remove ALL zombies (but no missions or cases): The debug mode removes all zombies: High rollers option on main debug screen - removes all inside zombies. X_FORTUNE EXTERIOR under levels - removes all outside zombies. See Debug mode for how to set this up. Instructions for useDownload and extract the mission file. Unpack data/datafile.big. Replacing the current mission file with this download file. BEFOREAFTERBEFOREAFTER

Can you possibly make a mod where there is a good middle ground between this decrease in zombies and the default number?

Can you possibly make a mod where there is a good middle ground between this decrease in zombies and the default number? that's actually very time consuming (Forgive the reply on an ancient post - I just now got around to playing this great game.) Actually, it only took about 5 minutes to write a Perl script that changes the values in all 3092 locations instantly. See attached for a version that has 3 times the Zombies in the original post (nothing else was changed), which is a nice balance. You can still run around most of them, but it also allows some fun with a paddle saw in crowded areas. 4Shared.com link: www.4shared.com/office/rSGRbCjP/missions.htmlPerl script: open(FILE,"<missions.txt") || die "Could not open file:\n$!\n"; open(OUTFILE,">missions_3x_zombies.txt") || die "Could not open new file:\n$!\n"; $numchanges=0; while(<FILE>){ if (/Amount\d\s=\s\"(\d+)\"/) { $old=$1; $line=$_; $new=int($old * 3); $line =~ s/\"$old\"/\"$new\"/; print OUTFILE $line; $numchanges++; } else { print OUTFILE; } } print "Done! $numchanges lines changed!\n"; close FILE; close OUTFILE;

I don't see the attachment in the previous post. Trying again... Nice job, I now know who to go to when I need to change mass amounts of lines!

The .exe link is dead, Dropbox decided to "temporally" close it.
Can anyone upload a mirror?

After downloading and modding it, my save file is corrupted. Also, when I start a new game DR2 always crashes to desktop. Is it because this mod is only intended for Dead Rising 2 and not Off the Record?

After downloading and modding it, my save file is corrupted. Also, when I start a new game DR2 always crashes to desktop. Is it because this mod is only intended for Dead Rising 2 and not Off the Record? If it is in the DR2 section. It should be obvious it only works for DR2. So yes that is why it is crashing for you. Because you are trying to use a dr2 only mod for OTR.
