Great work!
So now the obvious question- has anyone found a way to export, modify in 3DStudio, and re-import back into the game files?

the model format is very easy except for one thing how the bone pallet works. if that were known i could make an exporter for this game in a few minutes.

Interested if you have a moment, could you create a quickbms script for environments? Wizard said he was taught how to do this by you and that he asked you for a script.

She have new bones Full poseable ofc what do you mean new bones? what does ofc stand for? I am new to this, along with many of us here. Any instructions and guidance would be most helpful.

Model has new bones, because that one from game were too incorrect. That's why on my photo it works perfect. Ofc- of course.

nice! So awesome! The mall from Dead Rising was that just created from scratch? How was it made -- how did they extract items from dead rising? I guess if we knew how to add models, we could add this into dead rising 2? UPDATE: fullmoon, creator of the mall skin responded: Glad you like it though that mall is outdated...I'll extract the complete one in the near future. You can extract items with Brresviewer, for the Wii version only.

Hey there, merkuriusx. Anno attached a copy of Chrrox's Dead Rising 2 scripts to his post earlier on page 2. Here is a link to download the scripts. That RAR file includes two scripts: Dr2TextureConvert.bms, which is a script that must be used with QuickBMS to convert Dead Rising 2's TEX files. Dead Rising 2.ms, which is a 3DS MAX script used to import Dead Rising 2 models.

Hey. Just thought I would let you know. If you downloadMario's dr2 otr 3ds max script you import the models from otr only with bones and open their texture files easily and edit them easy to. You can use the texture editing for otr and dr2. Models from dr2 however don't work. Since all the most of the models from DR2 are in OTR. Minus a few outfits Chuck could wear in dr2. The TIR outfit and helmet, the knight armour aka the arthur outfit, and the orange prison jump suit.

can anyone tell me if i can use this to swap chucks' model with another character like leon or rebecca? sorry i have never modded this game before. No all this does is imports the dr2 models in to 3ds max. You can't export any edits. Mario's OTR scripts can import and export model edits. Not so much for DR2 as it can't import the DR2 model in because of it being slightly different from the OTR models. But there is a way round it to do model imports for DR2 as well.
