Hello fellas! So, I finished Dead rising 3 for the first time a few hours again, and when I saw Chuck Green make an appearance, I tripped balls. I got so happy! The moment the credits rolled, I got to work on making Dead Rising 3 Chuck Green playable! So, after some hunting, I found where his models & textures were held. deadrising3\data\models\npcs\cast_04 Big & Tex So I swapped it over Nick's default chest (blanked out the rest of his body) I got this as a result: I noticed his hands are slightly glitchy, I assume because his model is naturally bigger than Nicks. So, I went through the audio files, I want to make Nick sound like Chuck. So, in deadrising3\data\audio I found out Nick's grunts is in cast_01.big , Chuck's is in cast_04.big All of the .Big's are extractable using the Dr2 tools, and just like Dr2, you can use the free program audacity to open, listen to, edit, and save the .ADW files.

Nice. I was about to do this if I can ever get DR3 running, But alas it won't. So it's nice to see you did it instead Wizard. Also try messing with the player skeletons and so on. See if those will fix the hands like they did in DR2 and OTR

Yeah, I gotta try and fix those hands. It's literally the only thing keeping this model swap from being perfect, and it's driving me kinda nuts x)

Also Wizard don't forget to include spoilers in the title since this one is a big spoiler. Also I think once we can, we can go through all the models and gives the names of who they are. Like Cindy being Annie and so on. Cause they are much hard to find now. XD

To avoid spoilers, I removed the "DR3" from the thread title.

Hey Wiz when you get on. Can you hand me your save files folder before or after you meet Chuck? My laptop is so laggy I can not play the game, so it is for modding stuff and shots only for now. So I can't really play up to this point. So a save before or after you meet Chuck would be great. Thanks.

I've noticed a few other issues besides the hands through my testing, such as his knife...leg...holster...thing clips through his leg. Also, when doing certain attacks, his eyes bulge out in the most hilarious of ways. But, the hands are definitely the biggest problem with the swap. Otherwise, he's basically perfect!

Yeah I noticed the eyes too. I saw them when a zombie grabbed me and it went to the far away view. Never noticed the knife clipping though.

Tell me, how to make that Chuck could change clothes? or is it impossible? Well since he is a full npc model, noting can be done to him yet, apart from reskinning his textures. Until we can model import and export, he can only be used as he is right now. A full model over the player.

Is this still being worked on? It hasn't been worked on in a year plus Wizard hasn't been around a lot as of late either. So short answer is no for now.
