Aside, also that sounds just like the crashing from trying to play as one of Mario's female imports...EITHER same whether using male/female skeleton, as direct overriding underwear/as (/over the entry of) an outfit dispenser, etc etc, just random crashing whenever trying to go somewhere/make an action... perhaps a vector inconsistency that sort of scrambles all the game's logic? DR2 - drags.
Every time I try to unpack npcs.big gibbed tools crashes.
Try to unpack it with the unpack many script.But create a new folder and name it anything like Folder1.Then copy and paste your nocs.big into it.The drag the folder you created and copied the npcs.big into and drag it to the unpackmany.exe.It should now unpack.Wait for the black box to disappear.Now you should have a newly created folder named folder1_unpack.Now open that folder and there yo go.All the model files are now editable.Do the same if you have the same issues with unpacking any other files.you can also drop it in the same folder again and it will still appear in the unpacked folder along with your other unpack files.
Do you need to do something with animation to make it work? I swapped the skeleton to female one but my character still looks like orangutan. Original Dead Rising 2 mods like "Play as Stacey" had "default.big" file from "anim" folder but contents of that file now different in "Off the record".
