Can you convert a ps2 controller to xbox 360 and does it work?
My friend and I both have Guitar hero 2, I have it for PS2 and he has it for Xbox 360. Is there anyway to convert my controller to the Xbox 360? I looked online on ebay and found a PS2 to USB converter, and since the nonwireless form of a xbox 360 controller is a USB port would that work? If not, are there any other ways for me to convert so we can both play on his Xbox 360? Thank you for reading and any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure its possible to do that just search on sites of people who have done this already to make sure before you buy the adapter. Google ps2 to xbox 360 controller conversion or something along those lines and I'm sure you will get your answer. Maybe even some tutorials on how to make your own adapter if you got spare parts laying around.

odds are it'd be cheaper just to buy an old xbox 360 guitar than to buy a ps2->xbox360 adapters... from my experiences adapters are usually pricey

About 80 bucks, though. I'd go with tommah on this one and buy a guitar, adapters are way too expensive. E.g. an adapter for an Xbox360 controller on PC is about 40 bucks. Buying a wireless Xbox360 controller including an adapter is 50 bucks.
